Genshin Impact is full of various puzzles you can solve in the open-world and during events. The newest area, Ekanomiya, is complete with plenty of puzzles for players to solve, and the 2.5 update brings even more puzzles with the Three Realms Gateway Offering Event.

Here is your guide to the Guiding Light puzzles of Ekanomiya.

Not everyone wants to spend tens of minutes trying to figure out a puzzle for just a pinch of primogems. Don’t worry – I’ve got you covered.

The Guiding Light puzzles in Genshin Impact involve a series of mirrors and rays. The mirrors are of two elements – Cryo and Hydro. Some of these objects can be rotated, but you may also alter their elemental type:

Cryo can be melted and turned into water by using Pyro. The ray of light that hits this will then reflect away from the mirror.
Hydro can be frozen and turned into Cryo. The light that hits this will, instead, pass through.
When ready, make sure the Bokuso Box is equipped and press “Z” near the mechanism to spawn the beam of light.

Thanks to PC Invasion for sharing these solutions.

You can find this puzzle north of the teleporter in the western section of the map.

The next puzzle is further south of the teleport, in an underground chamber. You’ll need to follow a seelie and light the torches in order, using pyro. This will give you a chest and reveal a hidden room with the mirror mechanism.

And that’s the solution for this puzzle!

The Cryo totem can now be attacked, causing the gate to open. In the narrow chamber, you’ll find another Cryo totem, as well as a chest. Continue following the Seelie outside until it’s on its pedestal so you can grab one more treasure chest.

Genshin Impact is available to download and play for free on PC, mobile, and PS4, as well as the PS5. If you haven’t been able to get your hands on the new PlayStation console, register your interest at our shop.

Here is a guide to help you prepare for one of the strongest DPS characters in Genshin Impact.

Ganyu is one strongest DPS characters you can find in Genshin Impact. This Cryo bow user’s main source of damage is her charged shot attack. She can therefore deal a lot of damage consistently, as she is not burst dependent like many other DPS characters such as Xiao or Itto. Many have been waiting for around a year for the return of Ganyu, and who knows when she’ll be back after this coming rerun? Not every 5 star character can be MiHoYo’s favourite *cough* tartaglia *cough*.

If you’re planning on obtaining the Secretary of the Liyue Qixing, here is a handy guide to help you prepare for her.

Quick disclaimer: reruns for 2.4 have not been confirmed by MiHoYo. They have, however, been confirmed by many reputable leakers, and it is widely accepted that Ganyu and Xiao reruns will arrive in Genshin 2.4.

Full credits to WorldOfTeyvat on Twitter for the infographic included in this article.

Ascension

Like every Cryo character, Ganyu will require Shivada Jade for ascensions. You will need 1 sliver, 9 fragments, 9 chunks, and 6 gems. You should be able to acquire enough of these while obtaining 46 Hoarfrost Cores from the Cryo Regisvine. You can also craft them or transform other gems into cryo ones.

If you’re a veteran player, you may have enough Whopperflower drops already. If not, you’ll need to start hunting those pesky flowers down. You’ll need 18 Whopperflower Nectar, 30
Shimmering Nectar, and 36 Energy Nectar. Again, you can craft the smaller ones into the higher-rarity ones, if needs be.

Lastly, and most frustratingly, you’ll need 168 Qingxin flowers to fully ascend Ganyu. Thankfully, these can now be obtained much faster by planting them in your Teapot. You may need to find more of them in the open world though, and they can be found on mountaintops in Liyue. If you have Qiqi or Yanfei, they can be helpful for showing Liyue’s native resources on the map.

You’re going to need a hefty chunk of Mora for ascensions, 420k for the ascension alone. And that doesn’t even include the levelling. To bring Ganyu to level 90, you’ll need 432 Hero’s Wit and 1,672,000 mora. Yes, it takes over 2 million mora to fully ascend a character….

Talents

Talents are an even more expensive endeavour. Ganyu’s talent books are the Diligence series, rather fitting for the dedicated member of the Liyue Qixing. To completely max out her talents, you’ll need 9 Teachings of Diligence, 63 Guides to Diligence, and 114 Philosophies of Diligence. These can be farmed from Taishan Mansion domain on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday. You’ll also need 3 crowns from events (if you plan on triple crowning her, of course), and even more Whopperflower drops. You’ll need 18 Whopperflower Nectar, 66 Shimmering Nectar, and 93 Energy Nectar.

You also need to be beating up our favourite Snezhnayan ginger, Childe, at the Golden House once a week. The material you’ll need from him is Shadow of the Warrior. Again, if you’re unlucky with drops you can use transformation materials to craft the ones you need.

Lastly, the cost of fully levelling all these talents is 4,950,000 Mora.

Altogether, the cost is… 7,042,000 Mora. YEESH. Maximising a character is a very expensive goal. I only recommend doing this if you really love the character, enjoy their playstyle, and are intent on them doing maximum damage. In total this costs about 180 condensed resin (or 360 resin), and that is not even including artefacts – which can be a much more grueling process. Thank you WorldOfTeyvat for this stat!

Artefacts

When it comes to artefacts, there are a few different options you can run with Ganyu. The easiest to use and usual choice for veterans is the 4-piece Wanderer’s set, which buffs charged attacks by 35%. However, this set is not farmable, and you may have not been lucky with drops. You can at least use the Artefact stronghold box to obtain them now, but even then this is extra costly and you may not get good drops.

Personally, I am planning on running 4-piece Retracing Bolide, if I get Ganyu. This set is slightly restrictive, as you need to have a shield active to benefit from the effect of a 40% normal and charged attack increase. However, if you have Zhongli – it’s not really an issue. It does mean that Ganyu’s damage will be lower in 4 person co-op, where you cannot bring your own shield, but who honestly cares. It’s a farmable set, and useable on a lot of characters that work with normal attacks. The only issue is it’s pretty dependent on having Zhongli in your party, as it’s difficult to maintain 100% shield uptime with any other shield character. It can work if you pair her with a well-built Diona, Noelle, etc, but it may be more difficult to maintain.

The other option is to utilise freeze Ganyu with the 4-piece Blizzard Strayer set. You’ll likely want Xingqiu in your party for this build. Kokomi can work fantastically as well here. It isn’t the easiest to maintain, as Ganyu’s attacks are slow and it’s difficult to keep switching to a hydro party member while playing her. it does, however, let you skimp on crit rate by providing up to 40% extra.

The last option, which is probably the easiest to use, is 2-piece Blizzard Strayer and 2-piece Gladiator/Shimenawa. This gives you 15% cryo damage bonus and 18% attack bonus. Pretty simple stuff. I only recommend this if you have amazing substats on these pieces, or are lacking decent pieces to make one of the 4-piece sets.

Hopefully, having read this guide, you’re now well-informed on how to prepare for Ganyu. Best of luck to those who decide to pull for her! I’m still torn between Ganyu and an Itto constellation. I guess we’ll have to see what happens!

Despite the fact that only a small portion of the Platinum exclusive material made it into Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, the game’s mascot, Giratina, makes an appearance. Giratina, along with Dialga and Palkia, is a member of the original Creation Trio, and like its counterparts, has very high stats. This, combined with the fact that it can switch between two different forms, makes it a very powerful Legendary Pokémon.

In the original games, you would be limited to Giratinas Altered Forme. This is not the case in the remakes, as you can get the Griseous Orb to change forms after going through a number of steps. Here’s where to find Giratina, and how to get the Griseous Orb in Pokémon BDSP.

Preparing to Catch Giratina

First of all, you need to defeat the Sinnoh Champion and unlock the National Dex by having seen all 151 Pokémon native to the Sinnoh region. After this, speak to Professor Rowan and he’ll give you the National Dex.

In order to prepare for catching Giratina, I recommend bringing some Max Repels and Dusk Balls. The Max Repels will prevent wild encounters with some of the Pokémon on the way, which can be around level 50+. As Giratina is in a cave, the Dusk Balls will have an increased capture rate. You can buy these in Pastoria City.

Another useful thing to have is a Pokémon with Taunt. This will prevent Giratina from using Pain Split, which can be quite annoying when trying to catch it. This is because Giratina can use Pain Split to heal itself if you have more HP. As always, a Pokémon that can inflict Sleep or Paralysis is handy too.

Where to Find Giratina in Pokémon BDSP

Spring Path on the map.

After you’ve got the National Dex, and made your necessary preparations, follow these steps:

Head South from Veilstone City onto Route 214.

Once on Route 214, head South until you see a small clearing in the trees on the right-hand side. Follow the opening around until you reach Spring Path

Head through the grass and HM Rock Climb up the cliffside.

Walk around the right side, ignoring the bridge.

HM Rock Climb down the opposite side you initially came up and enter Turnback Cave

Turnback Cave Puzzle

Once you’re inside the cave, clear it with Defog so you can see. From here, there is a slight luck-based puzzle you must complete. It’s not really a puzzle so much as it is more of a random chance for it to appear in the cave. You will be greeted by some cryptic text inscribed on the pillar that reads: “… Past three pillars… to the sleeping… before 30 is surpassed…”

Essentially, what this means is you must find 3 pillars located within the cave, before entering 30 rooms in the cave. The rooms in the cave are randomized however, so there’s no order to this. It’s completely based on luck if a pillar will appear. You may have to retry a couple times if you are unlucky.

There’s no specific order to go through the doors. Just keep going wherever you like and interacting with the pillars as they appear. When you interact with the pillars, they will tell you how many you’ve found and how many rooms you’ve entered.

Battling Giratina

A wild Giratina appeared!

Eventually you will come across Giratina. Save before interacting if you want to soft reset and be prepared to battle and catch this mighty beast. This will be no easy feat however, as Giratina is level 70 just like the other post-game Legendaries. It has two moves in particular that can make catching it tricky – Pain Split and Shadow Force. The latter makes it so that you can’t use a PokéBall for one turn, as Giratina will be invisible. The former makes it difficult to keep it’s HP low. Putting it to sleep is definitely recommended, as it will make life much easier.

Using the Dusk Balls you bought from Pastoria City will provide a significantly higher catch rate, as you are inside a cave.

Well done, you caught it!

Where is the Griseous Orb in Pokémon BDSP

To unlock the Griseous Orb, you must battle and catch all 13 Legendary Pokémon that are available within Ramanas Park. To do so, you must purchase their corresponding Slates using Mystery Shards. Overall there will be 13 Legendaries to catch, so 13 Slates to buy. That’s a lot of Mystery Shards.

Much digging required!

After you’ve caught Mewtwo, the Slate Exchange will hold Distortion Slates. You can use this to spawn Giratina in its Distortion Forme. Head to the East side of Ramanas Park and use the Enigmatic Pedestal to summon a level 100 Giratina.

Giratina in Ramanas Park.

Now you can’t actually catch this Giratina. But once you have defeated it, it will drop a Griseous Orb. You can give this Griseous Orb to your Giratina to hold, and it will change forms. If you take the Orb away it will revert back to it’s Altered Forme. Now you’re one step closer to completing the Pokédex, with a powerhouse to boot.

Studio ILCA has done a good job of making an accurate rendition of Sinnoh in Pokémon BDSP, especially with the inclusion of some secret Pokémon that can be discovered like in the originals. One of these returning Pokémon is Heatran – a Legendary Fire/Steel type Pokémon who resides deep within Stark Mountain.

It’s not so easy to find however, as it’s located after a maze-like Strength puzzle that can be a little tricky. Here’s a guide on the necessary steps to find Heatran, as well as get past the puzzle.

Where to Catch Heatran in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

First of all, you need to defeat the Sinnoh Champion and unlock the National Dex by having seen all 150 Pokémon in Sinnoh. After this, speak to Professor Rowan and he’ll give you the National Dex.

Travel to the Fight Area. Speak to the Sailor in the South of Snowpoint Cityand he take you to a location. Once you are there, go North and go through the tunnel past the Fisherman who gives you the Super Rod.

Head Northeast on Route 225 until you reach the Survival Area. This is a small village with a PokeMart and PokeCenter. Barry will be there with Crasher Wake. Speak to them and head East after the cutscene plays.

Go through Route 226 until you reach the mountains. Use HM Rock Climb to traverse the structure and go to the right up the staircase. Stop just before the two trainers and climb down the left rock path with the HM again. This will take you to a set of stairs that leads to some water.

Use HM Surf to go past the little house on the island and keep going til you hit land. Go North to Route 227. Get your bike out and go over some ramps. Go up the stairs that are past the house.

Use your bike to ride across a thin beam at the top on the right side. After reaching the end, you will be greeted by an NPC named Buck. When he’s done talking, go forward until you see a set of stairs that leads to a giant gave opening.

You have now arrived at Stark Mountain: Heatran’s domain.

Stark Mountain at the very top of Sinnoh.

How to Get to Heatran

So you’ve made it to Stark Mountain, well done. But we’re not finished just yet. Now you must continue pushing forward, since there’s still a lot more work to be done to capture the Legendary lava Pokémon.

Enter Stark Mountain. You then have to use HM Strength to manoeuvre the boulders correctly. Push the top and bottom boulder to the right, get under, and push the middle boulder up so that’s it against the wall.

Make your way up the mountain and enter the second cave entrance. You will meet Buck again and he’ll ask you to team up with him. Be prepared for some double battles.

After making your way through the room, you will come to a set of stairs that goes to another cave entrance towards the North.

Once you enter this room, a cutscene will trigger. After it plays out, exit Stark Mountain by using an Escape Rope, or retracing your steps.

Fly back to the Survival Area and find Buck. Speak to him. He will then head back to the Mountain, and you’ll have to follow him again.

Annoyingly you have to go through all the previous steps again to get there because you can’t fast travel there unfortunately. Make your way back up to the Magma Chamber, and your prize shall await you. Make sure you save outside the room too if you’re trying to soft reset.

A mighty fine beast indeed.

Heatran is one of the toughest Legendaries to find in Pokémon BDSP, just because the quest to find it is in a fairly obscure location. It’s worth the effort however, as Heatran is quite a powerful Pokémon that would make a good addition to any team if you enjoy using Legendary Pokémon.

Even though Pokémon BDSP stays mostly true to the original games, the Sinnoh remakes also include a few additional features. These features improve upon the initial game’s experience, and provide access to a wider range of Pokémon at different points in the story.

This includes a new way of accessing many of the prior generation’s Legendary Pokémon. Classic trios and duos make a return, although some are version exclusive, through Ramanas Park.

Ramanas Park is a new area added to Pokémon BDSP that allows you to exchange Mystery Shards for Slates relating to Legendary Pokémon that can be used to spawn the corresponding mythical beast.

Johto fans should consider themselves lucky, as one iconic pair that can be caught in Ramanas Park is the Tower Duo – those being the Legendary birds Ho-oh and Lugia.

How to Access Ramanas Park

Ramanas Park’s location on the map. You can catch the Tower Duo here.

Before you can access Ramanas Park you have to complete the story first. After you’ve beaten the Sinnoh Champion and seen all 150 Pokémon, you will be given the National Dex. This means more Pokémon from previous generations will begin to appear too.

After getting the National Dex Ramanas Park will become available. To get there:

Head South of Sandgem Town until you reach the shoreline.

Use HM Surf to cross the water East along Route 219.

Carry on through Route 220 and Route 221 until you get to Ramanas Park.

Lugia and Ho-oh will appear in the Squall Room or Rainbow Room after you have met certain requirements in the park. You can exchange Mystery Shards for Slates that can be found in the Grand Underground. These will spawn the corresponding Legendary, so hopefully you’ve had a chance to do some digging by now.

Where to Get Mystery Shards

To get Mystery Shards you must dig in the Grand Underground. Use the Explorer Kit to access the underground network of caverns.

Once underground, use your pickaxe to dig into the walls. You have a random chance to dig up some Mystery Shards or Mystery Shard (L). Each Slate costs 3 Mystery Shards or 1 Mystery Shard (L).

How to Unlock Ho-Oh and Lugia in Pokémon BDSP

It’s important to note that Ho-Oh is exclusive to Brilliant Diamond, and Lugia is exclusive to Shining Pearl. To be able to catch them in their respective games, you must first purchase the Rainbow Slate or Squall Slate respectively. You’ll have to trade if you want both in one game.

To unlock the Rainbow Slate, you must first purchase the other 8 Slates and catch their related Pokemon. Here are the requirements in order:

Buy the Discovery Slate 3x to unlock and catch Regice, Registeel and Regirock. More slates will be available after all three have been caught.

If you are playing Brilliant Diamond – then you must purchase the Johto Slate 3x and catch the Three Legendary Beasts Raikou, Entei and Suicune.

If you are playing Shining Pearl – then you must purchase the Kanto Slate 3x to catch the Three Legendary Birds Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres.

Next up is the Soul Slate that will unlock Latios and Latias. Purchase this 2x and catch them both.

Finally, the Rainbow Slate/Squall Slate will be available to purchase. Take it to the pedestal, and Ho-Oh/Lugia will be available in their respective games.

Overall, this could be quite a time consuming process depending on how lucky you are with finding Mystery Shards. The minimum amount of shards it will require is 9 Mystery Shard (L), with the maximum being 27 Mystery Shards if you have to pay using the smaller ones. The process is worth it however if you want the satisfaction of collecting all the Legendary Pokémon.

Ditto is an important Pokémon for breeders and those trying to complete their Pokédex. Today I’m going to tell you where to find them in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. It takes some patience to get to it, as you won’t be able to catch one until after the Pokémon League Challenge.

The reason Ditto is so unique is because it can breed with any Pokémon. If you’re into breeding perfect Pokémon for competitive battling, then Ditto comes in handy for getting the ideal natures and IVs on Pokémon before you train them, as well as getting more of the one-time gift Pokémon.

Upgrading to the National Dex

First off you have to make sur e you’ve completed the Sinnoh Pokedex and nabbed yourself the National Dex upgrade. You can do this with one version of the game, as you only have to encounter each Pokémon once. So long as you’ve seen every Pokémon in the Sinnoh Pokedex, then you should be golden.

After you’ve upgraded to the National Dex, you’ll be able to catch all Pokémon up to Gen 4 as well of a bunch of new Legendaries.

Where to Catch Ditto in Pokémon BDSP

After you’ve obtained the National Dex, head to route 218 and use the PokéRadar while the National Dex is active. Certain patches of grass will shake when you activate the PokéRadar, and this is where ditto will appear. It has a 20% chance of spawning, so it shouldn’t take you very long to find it at all.

The announcement that Genshin Impact 2.3 would run dual rerun banners was a huge surprise. From now on, we will get two limited character reruns at once. The four stars on each banner have now been revealed to be the same, so all that matters is which five star you want to choose.

Primogems are very scarce in Genshin Impact, so you need to choose how you spend them wisely.

This guide will advise you on which banner to pull on, given your current position in the game.

If you’re already set on skipping these banners and are saving for Arataki Itto, you need not read on. You’re in the same camp as me, actually! The rest of you: I know Albedo like the back of my hand, as he was the first 5 star I wished for, and I’ve done a fair bit of research on Eula. So don’t worry – I’m very well informed even if I’m giving these banners a skip.

Firstly, Bennett

If you’re a new player and you still don’t have Bennett, this banner is basically a must-pull. Bennett is the best support character in the game (and he might be the best character full stop). His elemental burst can supply your team with a huge attack boost, as well as healing them. Ideally, you want to unlock his first constellation too.

Bennett is my main DPS and my favourite character, and I never shy away from talking about how great he is. But I swear on my life, I’m not being biased here. Any seasoned Genshin player will tell you this, and you can see him take the SS spot in any tierlist.

If you do have Bennett, though, your main consideration is going to be Eula or Albedo.

Eula vs. Albedo

It is a little difficult to compare these two, as they serve such different purposes. But alas, most of us can only afford to get one 5 star at most, so compare them we must.

Eula is a DPS character who specialises in physical damage, and also delivers a huge hit with her burst. Albedo, on the other hand, is a sub DPS character who can deal a lot of off-field damage without taking time away from your main DPS, and he can also provide shields to give your team durability.

Your personal needs

Are you lacking a single, powerful DPS unit who can serve as a hypercarry? Then perhaps Eula is the character for you. You can use her, pretty much endlessly, without switching out, and deal a lot of universal physical damage.

However, Eula isn’t a super meta DPS compared to some of the other units. If you already have a couple of strong DPS characters such as Xiao, Hu Tao, Ayaka, or Ganyu, you might benefit more from a support-oriented 5 star like Albedo.

One of Eula’s weaknesses is split damage. Her burst hits really hard and makes up a good chunk of her overall damage, but because it’s cryo damage you can’t really utilise her full damage potential. Ayaka, in comparison, attacks and bursts in cryo damage, so she suffers less of a damage loss.

Eula, being a hyper carry, isn’t so end-game friendly either. When you get to endgame and have a lot of units built, quick swap teams are the way to go.

However, if you haven’t reached that point yet, Eula can carry you there. I’d say her banner is a lot more beginner friendly.

Albedo, on the other hand, is someone you’ll be adding to your team, rather than building a team around. He has excellent usage statistics in the spiral abyss among players who have him, and I’ve written a full guide on how to build him and how he works.

Albedo is only set to get stronger in the upcoming update. A free to play sword that is perfect for his playstyle is headed our way, as well as a new artefact set. Albedo is fairly low-investment to build and works with a three star sword as well, compared to Eula who takes quite a bit of investment. This makes him more ideal for endgame players who are concerned with resin efficiency.

Geo and its future…

To be honest, Albedo is stuck with the Geo element, which isn’t in a great place in the game’s meta. It’s basically the ‘tank’ element, and typically focused on survivability. But in Genshin Impact, huge damage is needed to clear the spiral abyss.

However, the future of Geo could be bright. The introduction of Gorou and his skill that stacks buffs with the number of geo characters in the party suggests that the game is steering us towards building mono-geo teams. It’s true that, already, geo characters only really synergise with each other, thanks to the element’s massive resonance buff.

Personally, it’s my favourite element. I just think it’s exciting to see big raw damage numbers, and I enjoy being able to face-tank without worrying about dodging. I can’t wait to see how Albedo and Zhongli will synergise with new characters Itto and Gorou. But, that doesn’t change the fact that geo isn’t in the meta right now, so if you only care about doing big damage, maybe the element itself isn’t for you.

The verdict…

While Eula is a more universal and beginner-friendly character, Albedo is a more niche support that’s perfect for endgame players trying to maximise their damage and efficiency, or wanting to explore a mono-geo team.

My personal recommendation would be Albedo, as stronger DPS character reruns are likely on the way in 2.4. Albedo fills a more niche role and is therefore less likely to be powercrept, whereas Eula is going to be outdone by stronger DPS characters.

However, it depends on the state of your account. If you need a strong and reliable hypercarry to plow through the abyss with, Eula could be the character for you.

Most importantly, choose the character you like!

At the end of the day, your own enjoyment is more important than the meta. If you really love one of these character’s designs or playstyles, and they’re going to make your gaming experience more enjoyable, simply go for that! I originally wanted Albedo because he’s pretty. He just also turned out to be super useful for me down the line as well.

Genshin Impact is available to download and play for free on PC, mobile, and PS4, as well as the PS5. If you still haven’t been able to get your hands on the new PlayStation console, register your interest at our shop.

Drifloon is among the rarer Pokémon in the new Diamond and Pearl remakes, as it will only appear on a certain day after completing a certain story event. You can only catch it in one location, so it can be easy to miss. If you’re trying to complete the Pokédex, then here’s how to catch a Drifloon for yourself.

How to Catch Drifloon in Pokémon BDSP

First, you must complete the Team Galactic event at the Valley Windworks.

After defeating Mars, return to the Valley Windworks on the Friday following the completion of this event. Drifloon will be there floating in front of the Valley Windworks building ready to be caught.

Outside Valley Windworks on a Friday.

Drifloon will evolve into Drifblim at level 28.

Where to Spot Drifloon in a Battle

If you’re only trying to see Drifloon for your Pokédex and aren’t worried about catching one, then you can spot it elsewhere. But you must be careful as it’s easy to miss this battle.

One of the Trainers inside Hearthome Gym has a Drifloon as part of their team. To progress in the Gym you have to answer some basic questions. Get it right, you move forward. Get it wrong and you must battle a Trainer.

Hearthome City Gym.

If you choose to answer them all correctly, it’s possible to you will skip this battle. So, ensure you battle all Trainers in Hearthome City Gym so that you don’t miss spotting it for your Pokédex.

I do love me a good Pokemon puzzle. I fondly remember my first time sliding around Snowpoint City Gym in the first iteration of Pokemon Diamond.

If you’re a little stuck with this puzzle, here’s a speedy solution.

You’ll need to use the sliding mechanics to crash into the snowballs scattered around the gym and break them. This means you need to approach from the correct angle, and also have built up enough momentum to actually break it.

If you leave or get KOed by a trainer before beating Candice, you’ll have to start all over again!

Upon entering the gym, slide to the left from the fourth row of tiles so that you crash into a large unbreakable snowball against the wall. Next, head north to the third of three white tiles. Once you land on it, slide to the right, which will take you to two connected white tiles on the opposite side of the gym. By moving to the tile below the one you first landed on and then sliding left, you can destroy the giant snowball blocking the first ladder.

Next head up the stairs to your left and then down and to the right so that they land on the white tile closest to the gym’s entrance. Then, head north, slide into and defeat the Ace Trainer to the right. Slide back down in the direction of the gym’s entrance. This will allow you to land on another white tile (next to another Trainer), from which you’ll be able to slide to the right to destroy three of the snowballs in the central area.

After defeating the trainer next to the white tile you end up on, go right and then north before climbing the stairs to the right. At the top, slide right and then north so that you can take the next set of stairs up to the highest level. From there, slide north to the gym’s back wall and then head left to the two white tiles. Next, slide south from the tile on the left, and then take a left from the white tile that you land on to destroy three more snowballs.

Next, walk one space north and slide to the right from the spot where you end up, in order to take out the final two snowballs in the central area.

Now you need to make your way back towards the entrance by sliding left and down until you reach the stairs near the unbreakable snowball in the gym’s southwest corner. After climbing them, they’ll head north via a second white tile. You will reach an unbreakable snowball and then need to slide to the right to take out the snowball that’s blocking the penultimate ladder.

To break the final snowball, you must return to the spot next to the unbreakable snowball in the gym’s southwest corner, head north one tile, and then right to the white tile near the gym’s entrance from earlier on. From this spot, slide up, left, and then down. This will take you to another unbreakable snowball, from which you can slide to the right and take out the final snowball that’s blocking the way!

Congratulations! Now you can return to the entrance, from where you’ll be able to head all the way to Candice. Good luck with the battle! If you have fire types on your team, this should be a breeze.
