You won’t have to wait long to play, or replay, the final 2 uncharted games on your PS5. Naughty Dog have confirmed that the Uncharted: Legacy of thieves collection will be available for ps5 on January 28th for $50, or about £40, or as little as $10 if you already own the Ps4 version of either included game. The companies have also revealed what to expect from the upgrades. These games are not complete overhauls, but these will certainly be worthwhile if you missed out on the game’s first time around, or if you just want to play them on a newer tv.
As with most ps5 games, you can prioritize graphics for either resolution or speed. A “Fidelity Mode” is also included, which jumps the game to 4k while preserving a target framerate of 30FPS. Alternatively, “Performance mode” targets 60FPS , and the “Performance+” caps the resolution at 1080P but aims for a buttery smooth 120 FPS.
Both games Promis “near instant” load times thanks to the PS5’s SSD, and Naughty dog is also taking advantage of the Dualsence Haptic Feedback and spatial audio for a more immersive experience.
If your a PC player, your going to have to wait a bit before you get your hands on the game. Right now you can Pre-order the “Uncharted Bundle” from Epic Games and Steam, but the release window is still a generic “2022”. We also don’t have system requirements yet either, and with how challenging it can be to port PS4 games to PC we may be waiting a bit longer than we would want for the game.
