The first season of the Call of Duty League champions are being honoured in a very special way. Activision revealed that champions will be honoured by having their faces plastered at the stadium in Call of Duty: Warzone.
As well as this Activision revealed that the front entrance to Verdansk Stadium in Warzone will display a giant rendition of the CDL trophy, as well as the five members of the Dallas Empire who were the champions of the 2020 season.
This sort of honour to players has occurred In the past, as games like League of Legends and Overwatch have released unique skins to celebrate players that have won the championship. This was a very smart move from Activision to use Call of Duty’s popularity to their advantage, as Warzone currently brings in more than 100 million players.
This isn’t the first time the CDL have celebrated the winners in a unique way, as the Dallas Empire also received a championship throne. These changes will come to Verdansk in-game from May 10.
