The League of Legends animated series will be returning to Netflix for a second season
If you weren’t aware, Riot Games partnered with Netflix to expand the League of Legends universe by bringing its fans an animated TV show set in the world of Runeterra, titled Arcane.
The series was released over the span of 3 weeks with 3 episodes dropped each Saturday, with the finale being released over this weekend, as well as the announcement that there is already a second season in the works!
Arcane Season 2
Arcane’s season 2 announcement came after the release of the first season’s finale and included a teaser with a brief look at the season’s story.
The announcement included the voices of characters Vi, Caitlyn and Jinx, confirming their return to the series along with their voice actors (Hailee Steinfeld, Katie Leung, and Ella Purnell respectively).
It is most likely we will also be seeing the return of Jayce, Viktor, Heimerdinger, and Mel too and there is a possibility the new season will get to explore the wider world of Runeterra, outside of Piltover and Zaun.

If you have yet to watch the series, I highly recommend it. The storyline alone is incredible, but the animation and voice acting are really where the series shines the most. There are so many beautiful scenes that will blow you away and the characterisations of each character stand out strongly from each other.
Arcane follows the story between two sisters, Vi and Jinx, as their conflict plays out when a war is brewing between the twin cities of Piltover and Zaun. Piltover, the pristine city is for the elite with fancy clothes and armoured enforcers, and Zaun is the underground city for the abandoned and cut out from society. Finally sick of being screwed over by Piltover, Zaun starts to fight back. However, as things shake out between the two cities, the mad tinkerer and the gauntlet-wearing enforcer will be battling it out while confronting their long-simmering family issues.
Even if you aren’t a fan of League of Legends, this series is really worth checking out. Riot Games also teamed up with the likes of Fortnite and PUBG to help promote the series with crossover events on those platforms, and more across Riot Games too.
