Cyberpunk 2077 stability described as ‘satisfactory’ by CDPR - Get2Gaming

“We have already achieved a satisfactory level.”

Six months and a few patches deep, Cyberpunk 2077 has a few things to celebrate. It is back on the PlayStation Store after previously being delisted (albeit with a big warning), and CD Projekt CEO Adam Kiciński has now described the beleaguered RPG as having reached a “satisfactory level”.

Kiciński told TVN24: “We have already achieved a satisfactory level in this regard [of stability]. We have also been working on the overall performance, which we are also satisfied with. Of course, we also removed bugs and glitches, and we will continue to do that.”

“Over time, we will be introducing improvements to the general systems that players are paying attention to,” he added. The CD Projekt CEO didn’t explain which general systems are to be improved, however.

Cyberpunk 2077 famously released December 2022 in a very bad, some may describe as an unplayable, condition. One of the highest-profile gaming controversies in recent memory, Cyberpunk 2077, went from one of the most anticipated games ever to a disaster when it was discovered that the game was full of bugs and performance issues on release. Performance was notably bad for current-gen consoles whilst performing better on PC and next-gen consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series S/X).

While Cyberpunk 2077 is still a little half-baked, it’s not the hot mess it was when it first released. The last few patches have been bountiful with bug fixes, though many of them seem to be fixing incredibly minor problems.

Although still not without issues,  I recommend picking up this game if you own any next-gen machine (and can look past the odd bug/glitch). I was lucky enough to play through this game on PC, and despite not being perfect, it ran just smoothly enough for me to really enjoy immersing myself in the wonders of Cyberpunk’s futuristic metropolis, Night City.
