A few weeks ago it came to light that Call of Duty: Vanguard players could expect Ranked Playlists to be implemented into the game’s competitive multiplayer within the coming weeks. Despite no official release date being given yet, a rough time frame of when to expect League Play to be added has surfaced.

What to Expect from Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Ranked Playlists

One thing that has been confirmed is that Vanguard’s ranked game modes will be developed collaboratively by Sledgehammer and Treyarch. This is a good duo as Treyarch made the highly regarded Call of Duty Black Ops 2 and its popular League Play system.

A Twitter post from @TheGhostOfHope, a trusted leaker, claims that players can expect League Play to be available within ‘’the coming weeks’’. Although this isn’t very specific, it gives a fans an idea of the release window and when to expect it Ranked playlists to be available. Seeing as Season 1 is drawing to its halfway point, it would be reasonable to assume that League Play will be added at the start of Season 2. It could come at any point between now and then, or even after.

While @TheGhostOfHope does not indicate which aspects from Call of Duty: WW2’s ranked mode would be included, people are speculating on what might be included. Exclusive prizes are almost certainly on the way, with Calling Cards being the very least. Skill ratings and divisions, as well as the leaderboards contained in Call of Duty: WW2’s competitive play, are all possibilities. For the time being, fans can only guess, as official information is likely to take some time to emerge.

The London Royal Ravens have finally announced their starting pack for next years Call of Duty League season. Fans will be excited to hear the return of Afro, who will compete alongside Nastie, Gismo and Zer0.

Unfortunately, the 2021 season wasn’t too much of a success for the group as they lacked any real consistency. As a result, we saw major changes to its roster, with the introduction of Parasite, PaulEhx, Zaptius and the above-mentioned Afro. It was revealed last August that the team was parting ways with its whole team except Afro.  Dot Esports’ CRONE then reported in September that Zer0, Nastie, and Gismo were on the Royal Ravens’ wishlist heading into the off season. Take a look at the new team in this tweet below:

London Royal Ravens Looking To Improve Upon Last Year

In spite of the tournament disappointments this year, Afro impressed us all. His debut in particular was a great success in the CDL, where he obtained an overall K/D of 1.10. Consequently, he was named in the Scuf Gaming Team of the Week at the Minnesota Home Series in July. They’re certainly be glad they’ve managed to hold onto him then.

Moreover, Zer0 will be a welcomed return to the team after his release in April. Last year, he started his Call of Duty season with the New York Subliners. Unfortunately, he was benched for Mack in February, which undoubtedly left him disappointed. Due to this uncertainty, he found himself joining the Royal Ravens in May 2020, replacing Jurd. His team, which consisted of himself, Dylan, Wuskin, Skrapz and Seany achieved a respectable fourth at the 2020 Call of Duty League Championship.

However, due to visa issues throughout the Cold War season, he was unable to make his way back to the U.S before the season. This meant that he contributed to Call of Duty League Kickoff Classic for London with his teammates who were still in the U.S. Once again though, he was benched for visa issues, which meant he had to compete in the 2021 Call of Duty Challengers season instead.

Nastie And Gismo Hope To Provide The Difference

In regards to Nastie, he was announced as one of the substitutes for London back in the Modern Warfare season but unfortunately never got his chance to shine. Joined with Weeman, Nolson, Linney and Madcat for the Call of Challengers Dallas Open 2020, they finished second place but sadly there were liquidated and had to re-brand with the “connect 4”. Luckily for his new team, Nastie consistently scores well amongst European challengers and will be looking to continue that streak onto next year.

Adversely, Gismo enters the game as a rookie in the Call of Duty League. At the end of the Modern Warfare season, he made an appearance with Team Singularity, with the COVID-19 pandemic meaning Challengers were forced to go online indefinitely.  As a result, he was shipped out to Dallas to complete the season.

With London’s 2022 team averaging an age of 21, they will be hungry to have a taste of success early on in their careers. Whilst inexperienced that doesn’t mean they don’t have the ability. Hopefully they claim their first tournament title when the next season begins. Sledgehammer Games releases a teaser teasing the Pacific Map coming to Warzone in place of the current Verdansk.

Call of Duty: Warzone have had the same map for its entire existence with the well known Verdansk map being introduced during release. Verdansk being a map that is originally featured on Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is based in the Cold War whilst the new pacific map, rumoured to be called Caldera is based in the World War II. Caldera is coming on Call of Duty: Vanguard in November with the map coming to Warzone in December.

Sledgehammer give fans a very short glimpse of what is to come for Warzone and Vanguard players in the pacific map. Especially, giving some incite into the story line of why players are heading to the Pacific.

In the teaser, it appears that Sledgehammer Games connect the story in Verdansk to the story in the Pacific, with Black Ops Cold War’s Adler, Woods, Hudson, and Mason together interrupting Call of Duty WW2 Captain Carver Butcher, after discovering him in a hidden Nazi bunker where he then goes onto then revealing he established the Vanguard team which then saw him move to the Pacific Island of Caldera to find the Nazis who fled Germany before Berlin fell.

With Call of Duty: Vanguard being released today; fans will be able to play on the Pacific Island of Caldera on Multiplayer Mode, with the map coming to Call of Duty: Warzone in place of Verdansk on December 3^rd. Although, replacing Verdansk comes at a big risk, fans have been asking for a new map on Warzone ever since Rebirth Island was introduced. It comes at big risks for the main reason of players being used to Verdansk and the specific locations. Fans letting go of something they are very much aware of will be a hard withdrawal to bare and may take time to become accustomed to the Caldera map. The map setting should be interesting as the setting is completed different to the current Verdansk map. We hope that the Warzone community accept the map as their own and enjoy it thoroughly.

The post Call of Duty: Warzone Cinematic Hypes Up Pacific Map first appeared on Get2Gaming.

Finally, the highly anticipated launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard happens on Friday. The much loved Zombies mode will be playable in-game at launch, but it has been revealed that we should not expect to see the Dark Aether questline continue until later on. Instead, additional Zombies content will be released during the first season of the game, with the main mission arriving later. More precisely, it appears like the Main Quest will not begin until after Vanguard’s Season One, which kicks off on December 2^nd.

Zombies Main Questline Coming Later

In a recent blog post outlining all of the new features and what to expect in Zombies mode, Treyarch states “Starting on December 2nd, new Zombies content & features will begin to roll out in Vanguard.” They then went on to say “Players will also encounter some other surprise elements later in Season One that will set the stage for our upcoming Main Quest.”

There are a few crucial lines here that appear to imply the Main Quest won’t be available in-game until after Season One: “…later in Season One that will set the setting for our upcoming Main Quest” and “This Main Quest will be related to the arrival of an unexpected ally after Season One.” If this is the true, the Main Quest may not be available in Vanguard’s Zombies until late December or early 2022.

Previous Call of Duty seasons lasted around two months overall, and if Season One begins on December 2, it will expire somewhere in February of next year. For the time being, only time will tell. While you might not be  able to continue the ongoing Dark Aether storyline in Vanguard when it debuts on November 5, the traditional wave-based Zombies mode will be available from launch. The post CoD: Vanguard Zombies Won’t Feature ‘Dark Aether’ Quest Yet first appeared on Get2Gaming.

Were you as enraged as us with that Black Ops: Cold War campaign ending? How dare they leaving us hanging like that? Ending on an intense cliffhanger, it seems that the narrative has thankfully been continued with some post-launch content. Sadly, the story has now come to a close. Black Ops Cold War Season 6 cinematic outro has allowed players to witness one final discussion between Stitch and Adler. Emotional stuff.

The season six intro showed original Black Ops protagonist Alex Mason enter the frame. He was used to help Adler overcome his brainwashing which had tortured him many years prior. With Adler back in the game, he teams up with Woods, Mason and Hudson to hunt down Stitch. This must inevitably lead to a final showdown battle between them all right? Unfortunately (depends who you ask), you’re wrong. Instead, the two enemies discuss an interesting recap of their shared history. Check out what shocking reveal Stitch made down in this clip below:

Black Ops: Cold War Season 6 Outro Explained

That’s right. Apparently, Perseus is dead. Stitch admits to Adler that the Perseus the CIA were focused upon in 1983 died from cancer. This leads to an explanation on how Perseus isn’t a person but instead a symbol. As a result, he and his agents are in fact Perseus, and another one will rise if he is killed. Could this be hinting at a possible sequel for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War? We certainly hope so.

However, it soon becomes obvious that Adler has reached his breaking point. He puts a gun to Stitch’s head and words are exchanged between the two. Stitch says to Adler to “finish what he started” and that his “life no longer matters”. Subsequently, the scene cuts to black with a gunshot being heard. Another cliffhanger? Brilliant.

This ending will have fans asking where the franchise is going to take us next. Unfortunately, we won’t be receiving any details anytime soon. However, be sure to check out everything available in the season 6 content as its a real blast (especially the zombie content).

As Verdansk is soon to be destroyed and replaced with new Pacific map Caldera on Call of Duty: Warzone. Rumour has it that players will be seeing a MW2 inspired map coming next year.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is set for release November 5^th with fans excited for the WWII games’ release, but the excitement has now shifted towards Warzone with this news. According to VGC, speaking on plans Call of Duty have for 2022. The article states, “That includes plans to introduce a fresh Warzone map based on classic Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer arenas”.

“According to people with knowledge of the developer’s plans, Modern Warfare 2 will release alongside a brand new map for Warzone: the third such all-new arena to be launched for the battle royale spin-off.”

With the article then stating the MW2 maps that are likely to be included and remade into the 2022 Warzone battle royale map rumoured to come out. Favela, Afghan, Quarry, Terminal and Trailer Park all being mentioned.

With Vanguard’s Caldera being the map to replace Verdansk in December after release. We have a strong feeling the MW2 map will be replacing Caldera next year around the same time of the Modern Warfare 2 release.

Call of Duty and Activision are moving steps ahead with everything with Modern Warfare 2 already being far ahead in the works just as Call of Duty: Vanguard is releasing. With nothing officially being confirmed but most of it being true according to VGC.

Caldera will accordingly be replacing Verdansk making it the first map change in Call of Duty: Warzone history with fans very much excited; exact date being December 2^nd.

With the official news yet to be released about the MW2 map coming to Warzone, fans will be waiting on the official reports. Call of Duty have a history of leaking upcoming information to tease fans. Modern Warfare 2 being one of the biggest classic games about with the Multiplayer and Campaign Mode being the highlights, fans will be looking forward to seeing how Call of Duty plan on implementing those things into Call of Duty: Warzone next year. Call of Duty: Vanguard will be released in a few days, so now is the time to make sure your PC is ready for action.  Yesterday, Activision published a new blog post listing Vanguard’s PC system requirements. The game seems surprisingly adaptable. There’s also a whole new PC-focused trailer too.

Call of Duty has had decent specs that scale well from older devices to newer technology in recent years, but it has also been a significant space thief. Last year’s Black Ops – Cold War required over 80GB at launch, which is a blessing in comparison to the 147GB required by Call of Duty: Warzone right now.

Vanguard is going to be much smaller though, which is great news. When you have all three modes installed – that’s Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies – the game will only take up 61GB of space. That’s after installation too. Assuming you’ll uninstall the campaign mode once you’re finished with it, the other two modes only take up a combined space of 36GB. That’s a massive difference compared to Warzone.

Zombies has become an iconic game mode for the Call of Duty franchise, being introduced way back in CoD: World At War. While Vanguard has circled back to its roots in historical warfare, the new Zombies mode has done just the opposite and switched up the formula. Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies will undoubtedly be intriguing, since it represents a significant departure from the mode’s typical approach.

Der Anfang, the game’s first map, will not be the usual round-based Survival map we are used to. Instead, it will be like Outbreak in that there will be objectives to fulfil in different zones, but without the vehicles and large-scale emphasis. However, this is not the only new feature being added.

What Is the Altar of Covenants in Zombies?

In addition to cosmetic redesigns for perks in Call of Duty: Vanguard, players will be able to get unique bonuses via a new system. The boosts will be placed on top of the perks that players may purchase in each round. The concept also works like upgrades in a roguelike, with each match introducing new improvements and ensuring a diverse range of builds. This might offer a lot of replayability to Der Anfang, making each match more varied and engaging.

These upgrades are controlled through the Alter of Covenants. This is a special upgrade station that will be unlocked halfway through a round of Der Anfang. After completing each mission, players will return to the Stalingrad central area, which has grown. Each new location will enable players to a

cquire additional Zombies perks and upgrades, with the Altar being one of the newly unlocked parts. Players will require a specific currency to engage with it.

The game introduces a new currency to purchase these upgrades. Upgrades for the Altar of Covenants are acquired using Sacrificial Hearts, a currency earned by completing objectives. After leaving Shi No Numa or Hotel Royal, players will have to visit this Altar to obtain a new upgrade. The sequence of these improvements will vary from game to game, and they will also vary when players return to the Altar after completing an objective.

This is a big step forward for Call of Duty Zombies. In previous Zombies maps, matches would feel quite the same as there would be an optimum set-up everyone would aim for.  You build the Wonder Weapon, purchase all the bonuses, and get all your upgrades. You would then begin training or camping in the same regions until you died or chose to quit.

However, with the Altar of Covenants, each match should seem unique. Players may end up with a build that allows them to camp exceptionally well, dictating how they should play the rest of the match. Another build may increase training while weakening camping, while a third could make someone a fantastic medic.

This method has a lot of promise, as it might push players to want “one more run” like with a roguelike game.

Upgrades That Have Been Revealed for Zombies from the Altar of Covenants

So far, players have just a vague sense of what upgrades will be available in Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies. There are, however, a few that have been uncovered, and they appear to be useful. These modifications are as follows:

Ammo Gremlin: Stowed weapons refill ammo from the stock quickly. This is just like the Modifier from the Bandolier Bandit perk seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies.

Brain Rot: Again, this works just like the ammo mod, with players turning undead enemies into allies.

Bloodlust: Melee attacks will do more damage with this buff, and they will also heal the player.

Cryofreeze: Just like the ammo mod from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies, this has a chance to freeze and slow enemies.

Dead Accurate: Hitting multiple shots on the same enemy will do more damage, something that could be great for handling the machine gun-wielding mini bosses.

Death Below: Critical kills return a bullet to the clip. This could essentially give players infinite ammo with Sniper Rifles.

Resurrectionist: This lets players auto revive allies by standing near them, and they will revive much quicker. This could be hugely beneficial in co-op play.

Splatterfest: Enemies killed by explosions have a chance to explode themselves, making an explosive chain.

While players have only seen eight upgrades thus far, the known items reveal a lot about how the system will work. For starters, it seems like Pack-A-Punch will not provide ammo mods, as these have been made into buffs at the Altar. If ammo mods are available, some entirely new ones would be needed. Further, the a rarity system is visible, with the one Legendary buff revealed thus far being the revive-focused Resurrectionist. It can be assumed that these items will appear at the Altar less often, so players will want to grab them when they do appear.

The most fascinating aspect of the Altar of Covenants is that it may be expanded with each new Call of Duty Season. This type of system works best when there is a wide range of boosts to pick from. With so many opportunities, Treyarch could expand the Altar constantly, giving players new upgrades to acquire and creating opportunities for even more varied matches. If several upgrades are added each Season, the Altar can end up with dozens of potential buffs by the end of the game’s lifespan. With so much potential, this system is easily one of the most promising things about Call of Duty: Vanguard’s take on Zombies.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies mode trailer dropped October 14^th via YouTube showcasing interesting new additions from Treyarch. Fans seem to have noticed the return of original World at War Zombies map, Shi No Numa. Specifically pointing it out, Call of Duty Youtuber and Informant ModernWarzone posted a video on twitter showing proof of his sighting of the map. In the video, he shows frame by frame clips of the trailer. Pointing out the things that confirms it to be Shi No Numa.

With this later being confirmed by Activision fans are left excited. Shi No Numa being one of the monumental maps to drop with it being the third ever Zombies map changing the scene of Zombies as a whole.

Activision announced that Call of Duty: Vanguard is the “franchise-first crossover” stating that it is the “precursor to Black Ops Cold War Zombies.” Adding “This cooperative experience continues and intertwines with the Dark Aether story to create deeply engaging lore, all while innovating on the core gameplay that the mode is famous for.”

“From Stalingrad to Shi No Numa, you’ll fight Von List’s undead army on all fronts” with the trailer revealing many new abilities that have never been seen before on a Call of Duty: Zombies.

Zombies being developed by the original Treyarch opposed to Sledgehammer Games leaves the COD community very excited for what they have in store. Treyarch being original developers of the Call of Duty series, being in partnership since 2005 with the release of Call of Duty 2: Big Red One. Treyarch are heavily credited for the development of Zombies mode in the Black Ops series, especially Black Ops, Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 3 with the Zombies being a standout game mode on those games.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is set to be released November 5^th with many fans excited all over the world. Many being interested in the Campaign mode which has been developed by Sledgehammer Games, which features an interesting storyline during World War II. Many Call of Duty players being interested in the Multiplayer game mode which has added new game modes and has always been the go-to for the COD community. But with the new Zombies trailer being unveiled, it has grasped many fans interest. Black Ops III’s Zombie reveal is coming very soon

Treyarch, the Call of Duty: Black Ops III developer, posted a tweet yesterday which suggests that zombie-filled treats are on their way on 9th July 2015! The above photo is exactly what Treyarch posted on their Twitter account.

Wondering why 9th July was chosen? Well, it’s the first day of the San Diego Comic Con and, if you’re going along, then you may be amongst the first to lay your hands on the very latest zombie mode.

More updates to come, so keep those eyes peeled. We wonder how far they’ll go with zombies this time?
