FromSoftware has hidden interesting secrets in OOB (that’s gamer-lingo for ‘Out of Bounds’ to you and me) game areas. Rumblings of an Elden Ring PVP DLC arriving have surfaced thanks to an OOB exploration video of Elden Ring by one Lance McDonald, trusted data-miner (and Professional Farmer Knight based on name alone)!

While no extra content has been officially announced yet, this Colosseum could alternatively be part of an upcoming DLC extension or just generally be a half-made asset left on the cutting room floor to save time. Like, there was probably some obscure as hell in-game text reference to Hogthar The Pot-Clopper being linked to a Colosseum and there was some ungodly debate among the devs whether or not there’d physically be enough space on the disk to explore the intricacies of his character with essay-long item descriptions as far as the eye could see… I’m exaggerating, but not by much!

As you know, I’m just as into teamwork and the Hashtag Power of Friendship UwU just as much as the thought of clobbering fools in the free marketplace of ideas… And by free marketplace, I mean £50-quid action game, and by ideas, I mean increasingly phallic and oversized weapons of intergalactic destruction.

Which is to say, Elden Ring already features both co-operative PVE (player vs environment/bosses) gameplay AND competitive combat modes, including the more standard “player invasions” for all you heathens, or you can partake in ‘Duel Invitations’ if you’d rather comb your handlebar mustache and wax poetic about how you studied the blade.

Cities Skylines, a city-building management sim from the same school of naming conventions as ‘Demons Souls’, has recently dropped new footage for an upcoming Airports DLC. Given that my oft-mentioned “dirtbag left” friend is a massive harlot for Cities Skylines, I dedicate this blog to… Miledna Whiskey (haven’t asked if I could use their real name at time of writing).

So, let’s unpack what the folks at Paradox Interactive have in store!

In this tutorial video showcasing the DLC, we see the addition of cargo airports, what they do and how they can be added. There will also be dedicated cargo streets and railways if you want to live out your efficient delivery wet dreams.

Think Postman Pat with Jeff Bezos money crafting the world around him to personally fit his ideals by delivering a satisfying service… You know, like in real life!

Perchance any Cities Skylines virgins have made it this far, first off, gold star to you! With the final part of the last season of Attack on Titan generating tons of hype, Activision was quick to get in on the action.

A bundle launching January 10th, including ten items inspired by the hit anime series, Attack on Titan. The highlight of the bundle is a Survey Corps uniform, inspired by the icon himself, Levi Ackerman.

Additionally included will be three weapon blueprints (including the Titan Piercer blade) and a charm, sticker, emblem, finishing move and highlight material.

Other upcoming season updates include a new character (Isabella Rosario Dulnuan Reyes), her preferred submachine gun, and expansions to both gameplay and items in Vanguard’s Zombies mode. The relevant patches for the new Attack on Titan content will appear roughly a week ahead of time at midnight Eastern time on January 12th for Vanguard and January 13th for Warzone.

Though some might find the combination a little strange, given the huge difference in style, if you’re a fan of the anime, it might be nice to have your own series souvenir.

The post Attack on Titan bundle coming to Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone first appeared on Get2Gaming.

A recent listing through a Chinese retailer has leaked that the next expansion in the Assassin’s Creed franchise is set to be the biggest yet. Dawn of Ragnarök will supposedly release on March 10^th 2022, and will take place within the 9 Realms of Norse Cosmology according to the translations.

The translation states:

“The world of mythology, shouldering the urgent task of saving children, unleashing the brand-new supernatural power of the thunderbolt. After this shocking Viking legend, save your own flesh and blood before the gods are swallowed by the catastrophe.”

This statement was made alongside some promotional images that were posted on Reddit.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarök

Dawn of Ragnarök, according to a previous leak, will provide Eivor a whole variety of new powers and weaponry. Brief invisibility, the capacity to fly like a bird, teleportation arrows, a chainmail-piercing spear, freezing powers, and the ability to resuscitate foes are among the abilities available.

The expansion is most likely what publisher Ubisoft has been hinting at in advance of a live webcast on Monday, December 13.t on Monday, December 13.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is getting a second year of expansions, which is a first for the franchise, and Ubisoft has already stated that the material will surprise gamers.

Ubisoft has previously stated that a new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla title update will be released next week.Title update 1.4.1 adds additional combat, stealth, and exploration difficulty options, allowing players to fine-tune their game experience even more. It will also feature a number of changes to help with detection and social stealth.

The next update will require you to re-download the entire game, annoyingly. This will apparently reduce the games overall file size however, which is a bonus.

Dawn of Ragnarök, AC Valhalla’s next expansion will supposedly launch on March 10^th 2022.

New skins are heading their way to Nickelodeon’s All-Star Brawl…

Ever since Ludosity and Fair Play Labs released Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, fans have been enjoying playing as their favourite Nickelodeon character but have also felt the game could benefit with a lot more extras added on. As many fighting brawl games go, there’s always an opportunity to flesh out the game by adding more characters or skins to the gameplay and keep players coming back for more.

Well, the time has finally come for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl to receive its first DLC.

Super DLC 3000

The DLC titled “Super DLC 3000” will be adding new skins to every character currently available on the roster, whether that be something simple like a hat, such as a cowboy hat Patrick Star is donning, or a completely new look entirely, such as Toph wearing her battle outfit from the Day of the Black Sun episodes (an underrated two-parter, in my opinion).

Ludosity even released a trailer for the new DLC, adding more nostalgia for these characters by taking inspiration from the late-80s to early-90s American TV show commercials to advertise the new skins being added.

Other skins being added include Nigel Thornberry in an explorer’s cap, Lincoln Loud in a black beanie, Zim in his school uniform disguise, Yaksmas variant for Ren and Stimpy, and retro, colourless skins for Leonardo and Michelangelo.

The DLC is already out and is free to download, however, Switch users will have to wait a bit longer for it to be released for them.

Dataminers had already cracked Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl’s files when the game first came out and found some other additions that might be announced soon, yet nothing has been announced officially after these leaks were reported, so there’s potentially even more content on the way for this nostalgic game.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Beloved actor Keanu Reeves has addressed a question that Mortal Kombat fans have been clamoring to know the answer on

In an interview with Esquire to promote The Matrix 4, the “breathtaking” actor was asked about whether Neo or John Wick would appear in a Mortal Kombat game, if it were up to him.

“If it was up to me? No,” says Reeves, though rather than going straight for the Fatality he then offers Friendship. “Mortal Kombat is awesome in so many ways, but I think… um you know, Neo, John Wick, yeah man they’re doing their own thing. Mortal Kombat’s doing their own thing.”

It’s probably worth saying that the rights to the Neo character rest with Warner Bros., which publish Mortal Kombat, so this crossover remains a genuine possibility. The John Wick franchise is controlled by Lionsgate.

Reeves’ comment puts paid to the hopes of Mortal Kombat fans who wanted to play as The One. This was mainly folk wanting those characters in particular and series co-creator Ed Boon occasionally teasing the possibilities.

Guest characters are no novelty to the Mortal Kombat franchise. Mortal Kombat 9 saw the inclusion of Kratos from the iconic PlayStation series God of War, and Freddy Krueger from Nightmare on Elm Street. Mortal Kombat X provided fans with multiple horror games: Alien from Alien (1979), Predator from Predator (1980), and Leatherface from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974). Mortal Kombat 11 saw DC comics characters Joker and Spawn get added to the roster, with the inclusion of Rambo, Terminator T-800 and Robocop. In addition, the stars of the film Mortal Kombat (1995) had lended their voices and likeness to the characters Raiden, Sonya Blade, Johnny Cage and Shang Tsung.

Boon, NetherRealm’s current creative director, has in the past has talked about adding Neo and John Wick to the series. He also said at one point that Neo was suggested for Mortal Kombat 9, but they were unsure of the fit: “I remember [Warner Bros.] brought up Neo. So there were a whole bunch of ones that for business reasons or that creatively we didn’t think they’d fit,” Boon told Game Informer. Whatever the fans think, Boon is probably right: certain characters can fit in amongst the blood and viscera of Mortal Kombat, but seeing Neo rip someone’s spine out just doesn’t quite fit that character’s vibe.

Reeves can be found elsewhere in the video game universe, the most notable recent example being his turn as Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077. There’s the official and very decent John Wick Hex, and a big handful of Matrix games: the beat-em-up Path of Neo, which saw you go through a re-working of the movie storyline before fighting a city-sized Agent Smith.

The crossover event we’ve been waiting for has finally been revealed…

Earlier this year it was announced Monster Hunter Rise would be getting an unlikely crossover with Sonic the Hedgehog in November and Capcom has finally released details regarding the event.

The Sonic DLC event is the first Monster Hunter Rise collaboration to feature non-Capcom IP as Sonic is owned by SEGA.

The Sonic event will be a free update that launches on November 26 and features two new Special Event quests as well as the opportunity for players to earn Sonic unlockables.

These Sonic unlockables include Sonic-themed clothing for your character as well as a Tails outfit for the player’s Palamute. It also includes a Sonic costume for the player’s Palico, which lets them perform Sonic’s spin attack.

The trailer for the Monster Hunter Rise x Sonic the Hedgehog shows Sonic and Tails “rolling at the speed of sound” as they collect gold rings and interact in the Monster Hunter environment.

This has been a great year for Sonic the Hedgehog so far. The blue hedgehog has been celebrating its 30th anniversary and received a Minecraft birthday treat, its own LEGO set, and confirmation of a Netflix 24 episode animated show titled Sonic Prime. 

Monster Hunter Rise has also been doing well, as the RPG has received collaborations from other Capcom titles such as Street Fighter, Okami, Mega Man and Ghosts ‘n Goblins. 

The Sonic DLC will be out on November 26th on Nintendo Switch and will be available from day 1 when the game is released on PC on January 12th, 2022.

Turtle Rock Studios, the developer company for Back 4 Blood released a statement on wanting to get the game’s difficulty “just right”, as mentioned in a Reddit post by the company’s official channel. Despite (in my opinion, correct) claims that ‘a bit of difficulty can add a lot of replayability’, Turtle Rock is mostly concerned with criticisms from players on the difficulty of Back 4 Blood, as well as how issues and bugs found during development resulted in the game being ‘more difficult than intended’.

If you’re a Dark Soulsian difficulty-loving cycle-path (like me), then you’re in luck because we’re selling Back 4 Blood on PS4, Xbox One and not one, not two, but THREE PlayStation 5 editions (Standard, Steelbook and Special).

The Opinion Corner: Based on my highly rigorous intellectually herculean research on Back 4 Blood (which consists of a half-remembered Zero Punctuation review and playing Left 4 Dead a few years ago), the main source of difficulty gameplay wise comes from general bullet-sponge-grunge-festivity of the various zombie lads. That in itself isn’t a bad thing all the time, but next time you want to make a game difficult AND fun, you’ll want to make the way something is difficult clear.

Let’s take The Last of Us for example; another classic zombie shooty-bang-bang: Between the fast sight-gifted “runners”, the deadly but visually-impaired “clickers” and the burly-boi “bloaters”, each enemy type has different strengths and shortcomings that mean you have to adapt on the fly with how you react to them. And that’s not even covering environmental factors, like whether you’re able to take the stealthy approach at a certain time.

Back 2 Back 4 Blood. Other gameplay issues and fixes mentioned in the Reddit post include:

• The spawn rate of Ridden Mutations.
• Adjusting the trauma-damage system.
• Updates made to melee cards.
• The Cardinal Sin of ‘refocusing on playstyles away from speedrunning’. Speedrunning is awesome, here’s why!
• Oh, an offline mode, that’s nice.
• DLC and new difficulty levels have been released.
• A focus on ‘quality of life changes’.

The Vaas DLC for Far Cry 6 will be released on November 16th, fans will be able to delve into Vaas’ criminally mad psyche. This was recently announced by Michael Mando, Vaas’ VA, on Twitter after he announced on November 10th that he would be sharing some news with us relating to the Far Cry 6 DLC.

Little is known officially, since just one Far Cry 6 Season Pass trailer teases the content, but there are two significant sources of knowledge right now. For starters, there are spoilers circulating that reveal a whole gameplay of it as well as the hidden ending for Vaas. Which I am going to avoid speaking about so that you can enjoy the DLC for yourself.

This article won’t be entirely spoiler free for the DLC however, as the DLC’s trophy list has surfaced online. The DLC will ad 10 new trophies to the base game, all of which give an interesting insight into what the extra content will involve. The trophy list essentially confirms the expansion as being roguelite-style and reveals that the DLC takes place within Vaas’ mind. Some of these trophy names are great and depict a very interesting picture of the expansion.

Far Cry 6 Vaas DLC Trophy List

• No, I Won – Escape Vaas’ mind
• I Rule This Kingdom – Escape Vaas’ mind with a score of at least 25,000
• The 1% – Carry at least 8,000 Cash at one time
• This is Your Brain – Discover Every Location in Vaas’ mind
• Freudian Field Day – Unlock All Weapons in Vaas’ armory
• Dear Diary – Collect all of Vaas’ Diary Pages
• Puff, Puff, Vaas – Collect all of the Vaas Chibis
• So Much for Poetics – Collection all of the Visions in Vaas’ mind
• Self-Help—Fully upgrade all weapon cases in Vaas’ Armory
• Definition of Insanity—Escape Vaas’ mind at Mind Level 5

Far Cry 6’s Trophy List Calls Back to Far Cry 3

At first glance, a lot of these trophies are relatively simple tasks to carry such as discovering locations or or finding collectibles. However, some of them take it a step further: “No, I won” appears to imply, based on what has been shown so far, that Vaas is attempting to persuade himself that he defeated  Jason Brody. Clearly in the DLC setting he is deranged and delusional and trying to convince himself otherwise.

It would make sense based on what has been demonstrated so far, whereas the award dubbed “Freudian Field Day” refers to Freud’s psychoanalytic procedures. Why Vaas has so many firearms in his head I couldn’t tell you, but I would expect nothing less from him.

Puff, Puff, Vaas is a personal high-light (hehe) and brings back memories of burning weed fields to dubstep in Far Cry 3. You know the mission I’m talking about. The trophy probably has no relation to that mission, but it’s a wonderful touch. Not to mention that the collective prizes portray it as a roguelite that entails performing the same thing over and over, hence, the description of insanity. The major prize, though, is the ultimate trophy.

The last trophy, appropriately titled “Definition of Insanity,” connects back to his ideals in Far Cry 3. When coupled with the “Have I told you” trophy from Far Cry 3, which is unlocked after surviving another confrontation with Vaas. Obviously, when you combine these trophy names, you get Vaas’ famed phrase “Have I told you the definition of insanity?” That’s close enough. It’s just a good call-back to demonstrate that they’re paying attention to the character. Hopefully, they will expand on him in the DLC.

The post Far Cry 6 Vaas Insanity DLC Trophy List first appeared on Get2Gaming.

Dead by Daylight by Behaviour Interactive is one of the most prolific survival horror games out there and a favourite among streamers and content creators. There have been many famous collaborations between the game and high-profile horror properties such as Hellraiser, Stranger Things, Resident Evil, and Nightmare on Elm Street. But it also has its own original characters, such as Mikaela Reid. She’s the teenage witch who was introduced back in September. Not only do we get original survivor characters, but killers too.

The Portrait of a Murder DLC is the next chapter in the ongoing episodic series of Dead by Daylight. This chapter will introduce another original homicidal maniac called The Artist, who in life was a ‘gifted but tormented’ painter named Carmina Mora.

She was saved from suicide by ‘an eerie murder of crows,’ which transformed her artistically and brought her great fame. One day, she was abducted by corrupt local officials who cut her hands off and her tongue out, angered by her campaign against them. Now, she’s been twisted by The Entity into a weapon of vengeance, and her only purpose is to kill for her flock.

(The Entity, by the way, is the cosmic embodiment of evil that corrupts victims, destroys worlds, and generally serves as the impetus for all the insane mass-murdering going on in the game. Makes perfect sense, yeah?)

The expansion will also introduce a new survivor named Jonah Vasquez. Jonah is a CIA codebreaker whose visions lead him to a lost cemetery in Chile, The Forsaken Boneyard. Unfortunately for him, this place was the scene of Carmine Mora’s death and is now home to those vengeful crows. The Boneyard will also serve as a new Dead for Daylight map, featuring a tower crypt where crows perch and watch, ‘beady eyes gazing with fascination, never forgetting the day they fed greedily on the flesh of screaming men and women.’ Lovely!

Portrait of a Murder is due to arrive this month. It will cost $6.99 on the Microsoft Store, Steam and Stadia, and $7.99 on consoles (PlayStation, Xbox and Switch). I haven’t been able to find the exact prices in GBP, but you can expect it to be around £6 as well.
