Video Games Chronicle (VGC) have shared a ten-minute preview of the new Miami race track from the upcoming F1 22 game. The F1 22 game was announced two weeks ago and is available to pre-order from the EA store, here. 2022 marks the first official time that EA have worked on the game fully alongside usual developer, Codemasters. The F1 game is set to be released July 1 2022.

In the meantime, VGC have been given access to a preview version of the new game. They will be publishing their views next week but have been allowed to share a 10 minute preview of the new Miami race track. Miami is joining the official F1 calendar this year, with the race set to take place this weekend. The 10 minute video marks the new addition to the tracks in both game and reality.

You can watch the footage either on VGC’s website, or on their YouTube channel.

According to VGC the game footage was captured on a Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 running at 1080p on High settings. VGC also pointed out that the game is still two months away from release so some changes may be made to the game between then and now and it would be unfair to judge it at this stage.

True to life?

In a bizarre turn of events, F1 22 fans could see the footage before any F1 cars had raced there in reality. Codemasters told Gamebyte how they were able to build the track in-game before it had been built in real life. This included making use of the new partnership with EA, to share assets with the Madden NFL team. You can compare the footage from the game with real-life footage from the Miami track, shown earlier today by Sky. Watch it below.

The new track is set around the Hard Rock Stadium, used for the Miami Dolphins. It is a narrow street-circuit. It features three long straights – two of which are ridiculously long – and 19 corners. The narrowness of the track might limit the amount of overtaking available in the race. However, Formula 1 has made several regulation changes this year, in the hopes to make racing closer and following other cars easier. You can read about the new regulations changes here.

Changes to the Game

The new F1 22 game will include these new regulations and new-looking cars. Lee Mather, the Senior Creative Director in F1 at Codemasters, confirmed that they have updated the “physics” to “accommodate” the new aero and tyre rules. He said it would make the game “more true to life.” However, it is hard to say what impact it will have on the actual gameplay. The game will also receive new AI adaptability, designed to make it easier for new players. Furthermore, there will be two new ‘Immersive’ and ‘Broadcast’ race-modes to make it either more challenging or cinematic.

There is set to be a new race in Las Vegas as well in 2023. This would mean three races in the USA – further signs of the growing interest in Formula 1 after the Netflix hit Drive to Survive. The F1 22 game will feature the new Miami track as well as changes made to the Australian and Abu Dhabi tracks. Fans that pre-order the Champions Edition of the game before May 16 will receive a “time-limited Miami-inspired content pack.”

Are you one of the FIFA players right now desperately wanting Tahith Chongs 87 rated card? I think that’s pretty much everyone, isn’t it? Every United and Birmingham fan that is. EA Sports have added an 87-rated Squad Foundations version of the Birmingham City midfielder on FIFA 22 today, and we’re going to tell you how to get him.

Firstly, lets just go through some quick details. Tahith Chong is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a winger for Birmingham City, on loan from Premier League club Manchester United. He joined the Manchester United Academy aged 16 after a stint through the Feyenoord youth system. During his time at United, he won the Jimmy Murphy Young Player Of The Year award and since then has been closely watched as one of the clubs most promising youngsters. Birmingham City managed to get hold of his contract on loan this season.

Secondly, it is important to note that this is Chongs first special card in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team. As such, hes been granted a the Squad Foundations card which helps players strengthen their teams by filling in key positional gaps across different leagues. He’s a part of the third batch of Squad Foundations items.

Cheapest FIFA Team To Unlock Chong

This seems like its going to be another classic FIFA card that everyone is going to be using in the coming months. Another Fekir, if you will. There seems to be plenty of these coming onto our screens recently. Personally, I don’t know how I’m going to cope.

EA have graciously improved all of Chong’s skills, including Shooting (+22), Passing (+21), Dribbling (+21). Not only this, but his defensive attributes have improved too, with  Defending (+16), Physical (+16), and Pace (+13). Additionally, you can use the marksman chemistry style to further booster these stats even more.

Comparatively, well his original 68-rated silver version is just not even in the same competition. However, EA decide that is where his improvements must stop. Thankfully, he still has four-star skill moves and weak foot, otherwise we’d all be in for some troubling games against him. This is why you must follow our advice here to make sure you have him in your FUT too.

Despite this, you’re going to have to make sure you have the funds for it. The SBC costs approximately 88,200 FUT coins on PlayStation, 101,1000 on Xbox, and 99,900 on PC. Luckily, you have plenty of time to raise funds, with the chance to get Chong ending on Jan.20.

The requirements for the SBC are as followed:

• 85-rated squad
• Minimum 60 chemistry
• One TOTW card
• One Netherlands player

Football fans across the world will know how painful an international break can be. The long two weeks without any club football can leave you twiddling your thumbs, especially for England fans. Two games against Albania and San Marino are hardly going to get the hairs on the back of your neck up, are they? Thankfully, EA is here to save us.

It isn’t all doom and gloom. Not only is the return of the Premier League on the horizon this weekend, but FIFA players have just been treated to to what is arguably the best TOTW thus far. The international break has given us some stellar individual performances which have now materialised into some impressive inform cards. See, there is something good to come out of the international break after all.

For those unfamiliar with EA’s methods, here’s a quick explanation. Every week, FIFA creates a new version of a player who performed well in that particular week. The subsequent week these players will replaced with another set of cards, and the process continues. The cards are then either available to purchase through the FUT market, or by opening packs (if you’ve got luck on your side, that is).

Now that’s cleared up, take a look at TOTW 9 down below. We’ve got to say, there’s some cards in there we’re certainly eyeing up this week.

Kane And Mbappe Standout Players Of TOTW 9

As you can see, there are multiple players who look like they’ll be a fine addition to any Ultimate team. Former Liverpool man Shaqiri has impressive dribbling stats here, and Watford winger Ismaila Sarr  will cause any FIFA defence  problems with his pace. However, there is quite clearly a duo of players who are head and shoulders above the rest. Of course, its Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe. Those two have inexplicably good stats which would frighten any FIFA player out there. Let’s have a quick look at their individual cards, and how they obtained them.

Firstly, it’s probably best to start with highest rated card on there-Mbappe himself. It’s no mystery how he worked himself into this TOTW, after scoring an incredible FOUR goals against Kazakhstan and producing a stunning solo effort against Finland. The FIFA cover star needs no introduction, and as if his original card wasn’t good enough already, well there’s going to be no chance stopping this man now when he gets going. Boasting a blistering 98 Pace and 93 dribbling, combined with an incredible 89 Shooting, well all you can really do when you come up against him now will be button-bash and pray.

However, anything Mbappe can do, Kane can do better, right? The England Captain managed to bag himself seven, yes SEVEN, goals this international break. A hat-trick against Albania at Wembley was quickly followed up by a four goal haul in San Marino, which means he’s now only five goals from equalling Wayne Rooney’s all time England goal scoring record.

Whilst neither team were the deadliest of foes, it certainly won’t hurt the Tottenham strikers confidence, which so far this season has been rock bottom. Additionally, that 92 Shooting stat will definitely give any FIFA player who has him the confidence to win any game. If players manage to get a strike partnership of him and Mbappe, well then we’re all doomed. Especially with all those cheaters out there!

FIFA and EA Sports’ reported split suggests FIFA is up for development by another developer.

Electronic Arts and FIFA, the organisation has been in partnership for over thirty years becoming one of the most successful and highly grossing franchises in the gaming world. FIFA has been the biggest association football game for many consecutive years with Electronic Arts even claiming FIFA to be the best-selling game series in the world with over 200 million players. But with recent reports insinuating a possible break-up between the partnership, FIFA look for other pathways for their football gaming series.

Reports started weeks ago with EA claiming they were “exploring ideas” on changing the FIFA title. Many thought this could be just another rumour but when it was confirmed that EA filed trademark for “EA Sports FC”, the FIFA community began believing the split between EA and FIFA was inevitable.

Executives reporting the reasoning for the break down in the deal being because of the organisation, FIFA’s asking price for the licensing of their name, asking for 1 billion every 4 years. EA Sports not being happy with this then started looking at ways around this.

Later, FIFA then released a statement addressing the rumours and having their say on EA’s total power with the franchise, FIFA. They extend and go into detail about the future of FIFA sounding quite positive on the direction it is going in despite the fact the partnership with EA made the game into what it is today; one of the biggest game franchises. They also spoke about engaging in talks with “developers, investors, and analysts” on the future of FIFA. Lastly, adding their idea on expanding their audience and competition with the addition of live competitive gaming; mostly including the FIFA World Cup with it also said that EA Sport and FIFA will take a break just before the FIFA World Cup begins.

FIFA 22 was released October 1^st on all platforms giving off a very good and interesting first impression. Many of the FIFA community being happy and satisfied with the work done by EA. EA Sports recently launched an update to the game, adjusting and mending bugs that were in place following release. The update including patches to the goalkeepers that were said to be too “OP” decreasing the probability of saves inside the penalty area. Also adding minor adjustments to the HyperMotion increasing the game response time. This update getting positive feedback but with more updating needed, EA Sports are sure to be on the case.

FIFA, the International Federation of Association Football reportedly wants $1 billion every 4 years from Electronic Arts for the use of the FIFA title on their football game series.

Electronic Arts’ FIFA franchise is one of the most anticipated annual releases every year with FIFA 22 having much success thus far. FIFA 22 was released October 1^st with many of the FIFA community speculating it may be the last FIFA title as conflict between Electronic Arts and the International Federation of Association Football continues to unfold.

Electronic Arts and FIFA have been in partnership for near to 30 years with their first release being FIFA International Soccer in 1993. Although they have been in partnership for such a while, rumours of recent have suggested this partnership may come to an end. EA Sports have reported been “exploring ideas” on changing the name of their football franchise for good and with this news coming out, we have many reasons to believe this row is very much money related.

With FIFA being one of Electronic Arts’ best-selling franchises for many years with the game yearly overshadowing every other football associated release. FIFA has been highly profitable for EA Sports with not just sales but also with popular game mode, FIFA Ultimate Team, having cunning microtransactions that millions of players spend money daily. Streamers and Youtubers that are held in high regard spend tons of money on FUT Points which helps to better their game, attracting fans that add money to their pockets which come all the way back around to adding loads of money into Electronic Arts’ safe. This cycle being what brings in most of the revenue in for EA.

EA recently trademark filing suggests that the title FIFA may be changed to EA Sports FC for the next titles. An EA Sports executive, Cam Weber has expressed that talks between EA Sports and FIFA have stalled insinuating that these rumours may be true. He also suggests there may be a break in partnership between EA Sports and FIFA following the Qatar 2022 World Cup. This also confirms the asking of $1 billion every 4 years from FIFA to EA Sports.

FIFA 22 has brought much success with its early October release. With many new things added onto this years’ game. Fans have mostly been impressed by the addition of HyperMotion Technology which brings more realistic gameplay. Pro Clubs, second most popular game mode after FUT (FIFA Ultimate Team) has been much improved also, adding a whole different dynamic to making a player; adding new archetypes and perks. Even bigger, adding the edit enabling players to create female players, bridging the gender gap in Pro Clubs. Fans have also been impressed with the improvements made to Volta, allowing it to be more of a party, enjoyable game mode. Giving fans a real feel of the old FIFA Street game series. Many more improvements and developments have been made to FIFA 22 with many describing it as the “ultimate football game”.

Electronic Arts have a “renewed long term” agreement with football players’ union Fifpro allowing thousands of players’ likeness and names to be used in their football game series.

This is great news for the FIFA community as one of the main reasons for FIFA’s success in popularity and preference is because of the authenticity and licenses they possess over their football series competitors. This long-term partnership allows players of the game to continue playing with their favourite football stars, mimicking them from action to action.

Electronic Arts have always prioritised licences for its FIFA games, stating “We focus so much energy on the collective strength of over 300 individual licensed partners that give us access to 17,000+ athletes across 700+ teams, in 100 stadiums and over 30 leagues around the world.” Adding “We continually invest in the partnerships and licenses that are most meaningful to players, and because of that, our game is the only place you can authentically play in the iconic UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, CONMEBOL Libertadores, Premier League, Bundesliga, and LaLiga Santander, among many others.” This all previously being said in a press release with a publisher referring to a change in the FIFA title.

Recently this month, EA have been looking for options to stamp their name on the forefront of their football game series, disbanding the famous title, FIFA, stating it was “exploring the idea”. Also stating more on the exclusion of FIFA, the football organisation, stating “As we look ahead, we’re also exploring the idea of renaming our global EA Sports football games. This means we’re reviewing our naming rights agreement with FIFA, which is separate from all our other official partnerships and licenses across the football world.” Electronic Arts recently also filing trademark applications for the name “EA Sports FC” which imaginably could be in place for “FIFA” as the new name for the large franchise.

So, with this long-term agreement being in place, it could be only a matter of time before we see a change in the Electronic Arts football game series. Being seen that if EA were to cut complete ties with FIFA, the licenses, partnerships and rights will still be in their control as they are not in connection to the Electronic Arts and FIFA’s agreement. FIFA 22 being the latest game released within their agreement, it could very well be the last with nothing being confirmed until announced by EA.

FIFA 22 has gotten very high praises from the FIFA community with their new introduction to HyperMotion, making the game more realistic than it has ever been. Giving the fans the feel and experience they have always cried for. FIFA 22 released October 1^st had an amazing opening week with Electronic Arts looking forward to many more amazing weeks to come.

FIFA, described as the international governing body of association football is one of the biggest sports associations around and has been the face of Electronic Arts‘ football gaming series for over 20 years being second fiddle behind eFootball, formerly known as Pro Evolution Soccer for some of its time but for the last 10 plus years, overtaking and being the biggest football gaming firm around. With the large amount of licensing they have, from players to clubs to leagues to famous brands and many more. It makes the game stand out most opposed to any other football game.

Electronic Arts have carried their football game series with the FIFA title for a long while but may be considering a change to that as they state they are “reviewing our naming rights agreement with FIFA, which is separate from all our other official partnerships and licenses across the football world.” Meaning a title change could very much be possible if the contract they, Electronic Arts & FIFA, hold together makes that possible. Now with the title FIFA carrying so much weight and being held at such high regard, it is strange to hear of this, especially with it being so sudden and at a press release.

FIFA 22 released October 1^st has received positive reviews with the release becoming record breaking. Many of the FIFA community are taking it in and welcoming it as “very realistic” and the “best FIFA yet”. With the many additional features added, they have managed to widen the audience even more, making it the undisputed go-to football game with no other competitor even within reach. Despite the possible name change, we don’t feel it will have any effect on the gameplay. Nor will it have any effect on the number of players and football fans they rake in yearly.

FIFA 22 is out now and available to play on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Stadia. The official trailer, released late July, revealed many new features that add a more realistic feel to the game, bringing real life football and virtual football closer. Filling all the gaps the FIFA community have complained about for years, making FIFA 22 the ultimate football game.

EA Sports has released a deep dive on what fans can expect with FIFA Ultimate Team 22 and it includes some controversial modes coming back

As the release of FIFA 22 fast approaches, EA Sports has released “pitch notes” of what fans can expect for the game, especially the FIFA Ultimate Team mode.

The best-selling football video game added the Ultimate Team (FUT) mode back in FIFA 21 and enables players to build teams by using any players from any league, to play offline and online and to win coins to buy better players or loot boxes that contain a random selection of players. It received a lot of controversy from fans as players and even received a ban in some countries as it was considered akin to gambling, since it requires real money to purchase virtual currency, yet they are coming back with some major improvements, along with some new additions.

FIFA Ultimate Team 22

EA will be sticking to having loot boxes available to purchase, however, the mode will now include preview packs. This means players will be able to see what is inside the loot boxes and decide whether they want to purchase or not. It was trailed in the summer on FIFA 21 and has had significant improvements, as well as increase the chance of players purchasing the packs as they like to know what they’re getting. If a player chooses not to purchase the preview pack shown, they just have to wait for the refresh timer to end to preview a pack of the same type.

EA have also announced they will be releasing a FUT Companion App that will launch on PC and Mobile on September 22 and September 23 respectively. This will allow players to access the FUT Transfer Market where they can buy and sell players and consumables, manage their squad, build and submit Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) and buy packs from the store at home when they aren’t in-game.

Other additions to the FUT mode include:

• Featured Team of the Week; a brand new way to celebrate the performance of a select Team of the Week player each week.
• FUT Heroes: celebrate football’s most memorable players with items that represent the unforgettable moments that turned them into fan favourites.
• New Co-Op Friendly Mode.
• New Stadium Customisations.
• ICONS: 4 new players join the elite ranks of FUT ICONs.

EA Play members will be able to get Early Access to FUT 22 on September 22 while EA Play Pro players will have access to the game on PC from the same date. For anyone that pre-ordered the Ultimate Editon, they will have access to the game from September 27, 4 days before FIFA 22‘s global release on October 1.

The best-selling football game is getting significant changes to its career mode

FIFA 22 will be receiving new features to its career mode, according to its senior game designer Alex Constantinescu, who goes into detail about all the changes on the official FIFA 22 website in the latest Pitch Notes blog.

FIFA 22 is the forthcoming instalment for the popular football game franchise developed by EA that is expected to drop on October 1.

FIFA 22 Career Mode

The long-overdue revamp consists of many updates, however, the most notable ability is players being able to make their own team completely from scratch in Manager Career mode. Players can choose the club’s name, commentary name, league, rival team, as well as customise their team’s kit, crest, and stadium.

The customisation of the stadium works in similar ways to FIFA Ultimate Team where players can choose the base colour, seat colour, pitch pattern, net shape, goal songs, crowd chants, and walkout anthems.

Players creating their own club can also auto-generate their starting players, choosing their average star rating and average age, as well as their starting transfer budget and their board’s priorities.

Other improvements include: players can now come on from the bench instead of going from playing no matches to full matches; your manager will give you match objectives and their rating for you will increase if you continue to meet them, and as players level up they can also unlock new perks and can equip up to three in a match which includes improved first-time shot ability, increased dribbling abilities and better physical strength.

Additionally, in both Manager and Career mode, the top-rated or longest-serving players in a team can end up being celebrated by fans with custom tifo displays. This includes generated ones too.

FIFA 22 will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Stadia.
