What a time it is to be a LEGO Video game fan! After the recent trailer for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker SAGA, it looks like we’ll be able to get our hands on another crossover between gaming and brick-building. Whilst it isn’t a new game, this set looks like we’ll be able to have plenty of fun with it.

The latest collaboration will be with Guerrilla Games on a Horizon Forbidden West set. How cool is that? We’ve seen LEGO versions of major movie franchises such as Harry Potter, LOTR and Batman. However, do any of these have giant robotic dinosaurs to ride on? I don’t think so.

The 1,222 piece set comes with an Aloy minifigure as well as a brick-built version of the velociraptor-like Watcher robots. Not only this, but the set contains a Tallneck machine too! Check out the set for yourself down below:

Horizon Zero Dawn West Translates Nicely To LEGO

Horizon offers up quite an innovative design for LEGO to take control of. The armour-covered robots blend well into LEGO-form (as expected) so we really cannot wait to get our hands on this one! At the moment, the crossover is limited to only have model but who knows what could be in store for the future?

The Horizon Forbidden West set marks Lego’s latest foray into video game-inspired projects, which also include its interactive Super Mario sets, its recent Green Hill Zone set from Sonic the Hedgehog, a (currently on pause) Overwatch collaboration, and  a team up with the similarly blocky Minecraft. What more could you ask for really?

The Force is strong with us all once more, as a new game play overview trailer for the hotly anticipated LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has arrived! The trailer treated us with a variety of new additions by showing off planets, characters and many more game play features which we cannot wait to get our hands on!

Not only this, but we’ve finally received a concrete release date after what has been years of delays. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is set to arrive on April 5th 2022, just over two months away. Those endless hours waiting for the game are looking like they’re finally going to be paid off, especially if this trailer is anything to go by.

Before we delve right into everything the new overview has to offer, why not check it out for yourself down below:

What’d we all think of that then Star Wars fans? It looks pretty amazing doesn’t it? I’ve certainly been waiting long enough for this one, as have many of you out there I’m sure.

Whilst we will have a look at all the new features in great detail, can we firstly just take a moment to appreciate the Holoprojector system. It looks like this’ll be how we’re able to travel to other planets, unlock and select characters, view missions as well as everything else. Whilst it doesn’t quite have the same energy as Dexters or The Cantina, it really does show off how vast this world is going to be!

It should be noted that the game will also allow you to experience the trilogy in whatever order you see fit. Are you a purist who wants to play the episodes as they were initially released? Or would you prefer to experience the Saga in a more chronological order? The choice is completely yours!

Anyway, enough about that. It’s time to take a deeper look at everything the latest trailer went through to get us even more hyped. Here we go!

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga- New Characters

Boasting over 300 playable characters, this is obviously going to be the biggest character roster in a LEGO Star Wars game to date! Whilst many of them have been confirmed previously, we’ve managed to get a look at some of the different play-styles they’ll use.

The likes of Jabba The Hutt, Mace Windu and Boba Fett are all shown to be in action (with Jabba moving much faster than we expected we must say). Whilst not every character is shown in the game play, we can have a quick glimpse of them in the menu. This includes sequel characters such as Carib Diss, which will be a cool new addition to say the least. Previously ignored prequel characters such as Bail Organa and Captain Antilles are even showed off here!

It certainly looks like they wont be messing about this time. Players will struggle to find any character in the films not present in the game, which we cannot wait for.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga- New Combat

Fans of the original set of games will have immediately noticed the different combat and health systems in the new trailer. Instead of the Hearts system, it seems now we will have health bars, as will our foes. As a result, it looks like we will finally be able to know now when our enemy is close to defeat now.

Additionally, the weapon variety on display is much more expansive than previous editions. Whilst before we were limited to essentially just a lightsaber or blaster, there now seems to be so much more to offer! The over-the-shoulder shooting mechanics which we saw in LEGO Force Awakens reappear, but it’s the lightsaber combat that really catches our eyes here.

The Star Wars franchise is famously known for exciting duels throughout the series, so being able to incorporate this properly into the LEGO game is an absolute necessity. The battle between Jedi and Sith looks unbelievably entertaining and alongside the infamous Star Wars scores are sure to provide hours of excitement!

More Planets And Vehicles Than Ever Before

Obviously, no Star Wars game is complete without its vehicles, specifically fighter ships! It’s called Star Wars after all ain’t it, so get ready for some great re-imagining of classic space battles. In the trailer we see both Luke Skywalkers X-Wing as well as Poe Damerons. Moreover, no Star wars trailer is complete without the iconic Millennium Falcon and it was great to see it engage with a Star Destroyer!

Similarly, we cannot wait to explore the various planets the game has to offer. Returning to the likes of Hoth, Geonosis, Endor and Naboo is going to be undeniably fantastic, but the sequel planets appearances are going to be just as cool we reckon. The latest reveal shows off the Sith planet Exegol from Episode 9, which looks to have created an awry environment which will definitely be interesting to uncover.

This really does look like it intends to be the definitive LEGO Star Wars experience. Whilst we can’t go through all the new features here (you’d be reading for ages), believe us when we see they’re endless. And why shouldn’t it be? We’ve waited long enough for it, we deserve every ounce of Star Wars content we can get.

Gamers Delight In Seeing LEGO PS5 And Xbox Series X Creations

What’d you guys think? It’s pretty impressive right! I’m still surprised how they’ve managed to capture the detailed accuracy of each console. In my opinion, the PS5 is especially mind-blowing considering the consoles already unique design. Not only this, but both builds include life-sized versions of the controllers to go alongside. Big congratulations to the designer, but who do we have to praise?

Thankfully, the genius behind the consoles isn’t hiding his identity like the LEGO equivalent of Banksy. Just as we got news about the December games for the Xbox Game Pass, this comes in. Can these PlayStation Plus games rival that of the Xbox Game Pass? Well, that’s obviously up to individual taste, but there’s definitely some good additions in here.

Previously, we received leaked information suggesting that the title would be Godfall Challenger Edition, Mortal Shell and LEGO DC Super-Villains. These games were briefly shown on the PlayStation Twitter accounts for Spain and Germany as well as a leaked promotional video. They were both swiftly removed suggesting that the news perhaps came to early. However, we can now confirm that the leaks are in fact true, which is what any LEGO fan really wanted to hear.

PS Plus Games: Everything You Need To Know

Did you like what you saw there? We certainly did. Luckily for us, this month’s PlayStation Plus games will be hitting our screens soon as they’re poised for a December 7 release. Importantly, they will only be able to be claimed until January 3 2022, so make sure you don’t miss out!

Not only this, but the three PlayStation VR games which were made available for PS Plus members last month will remain available this month too. It’s great news all round this Christmas! This is what Sony had to say upon the upcoming releases.

“[Godfall] Challenger Edition focuses on three unique modes: Lightbringer, Dreamstones, and the Ascended Tower of Trials,” Sony said. “All three are endgame-level content, but you’ll be immediately equipped with a spread of deadly weapons and skill points, letting you team up with up to two other players in co-op.

“Perfect your build and smash your enemies. Challenger Edition’s endgame co-op is compatible with all upgraded editions of Godfall & supports cross-gen play. Godfall: Challenger Edition players can upgrade at any time to the Deluxe Edition gaining access to both Godfall and Fire & Darkness campaigns.”

This is all great news for Sony of course, who recently announced that PlayStation Plus subscribers totalled 47.2 million as of September 2021. That’s quite the feat we must say. Additionally, Sony also confirmed that the three-month period ending in September that they solid 3.3 million PS5 consoles worldwide.  This adds to the grand total bringing the complete figures to around 13.4 million! Let’s hope they can get the supply in for this Christmas!

Time for a gameplay BREAKDOWN, BREAKDOWN:

Will this bit be dated in a couple weeks? Absolutely yes! But hey, welcome to the internet, being relevant for 2 weeks is like 10 years in Twitter time.

Godfall is a hack n’ slash loot-em-up, think God of War meets Diablo. Take on the enemy hordes alone or with friends, a must-have for anyone who has a penchant for giant swords, elaborately over-designed fantasy armor and general tomfoolery.

Mortal Shell is a recursive action-adventure souls-like. Despite following in the footsteps of its influences in terms of difficulty, the story is comparatively shorter, making it arguably more accessible than past games. The player can use a strange spell that briefly turns them into invulnerable stone. Who would’ve thought getting hard in the middle of a fight would be so handy!

LEGO DC Super Villains takes the Traveler’s Tales LEGO game formula and wraps it in a Suicide Squad-shaped bow, seeing the rogues gallery of iconic DC baddies team up while trying to unravel how The Justice League got replaced by evil impostors… Okay, more evil impostors, professionals have standards!

As for things on the Xbox front, Microsoft announced the Xbox Games With Gold lineup will be:

• The Escapists 2 (Dec 1 – 31)
• Tropico 5 Penultimate Edition (Dec 16 – Jan 15)
• Orcs Must Die! (Dec 1 – 15)

You thought Halloween was over? Think again…

Nintendo has revealed it has partnered up with LEGO to bring some spooktastic LEGO Nintendo-themed sets which are based on everyone’s favourite sidekick and his adventures in Luigi’s Mansion.

That’s right, Luigi is embracing the main character he deserves to be and is getting his very own LEGO set!

Luigi’s Mansion Lego Set

The announcement was released yesterday that Nintendo and LEGO had teamed up, which was a very fitting celebration for Halloween. The survival horror game sees players control Luigi as he explores a haunted mansion, searches for his lost brother Mario and deals with ghosts by capturing them through a vacuum cleaner supplied by Professor E. Gadd.

There will be three Lego sets up for grabs: Luigi’s Mansion Lab and Poltergust Expansion Set, Luigi’s Mansion Entryway Expansion Set, and Luigi’s Mansion Haunt-and-Seek Expansion Set. The sets won’t be available until January 1, 2022, but it’s good to get the hype up for these sets early.

The three sets will feature characters like King Boo, Polterpup, Bogmire, Toad, Professor E. Gadd, and Boo.

These sets will not feature Luigi sadly. He has already been released in the LEGO Luigi Starter Set, shortly after his brother Mario received a Starter Set. The LEGO Luigi Starter Set and some of the expansions were designed to encourage co-op play. Owners of both sets are able to sync up the two brothers by pressing the Bluetooth buttons on their backs simultaneously. They’ll greet each other with a “Hi, Mario,” and “Hi, Luigi,” to signal the connection is complete.

The force has always been strong with LEGO games. From the Episodes 1-3 to the Force Awakens, each title has received critical and commercial success. Everyone remembers loading up their original Xbox’s or PS2’s and getting giddy over taking control of their favourite Star Wars characters in LEGO form. Ah, good times.

However, it has been over six years since any edition to the popular collaboration has been made. Not only this, but Disney have been consistently teasing their fan base with LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga by frequently delaying its release. There’s only so much us fans can take, Disney.

It seems that they must have finally heard our frustrations, as they have officially unveiled LEGO Star Wars: Castaways, a new entry in the ever-popular spin-off series. This looks set to be an interesting release, so let’s talk about it.

This upcoming LEGO Star Wars game looks set to fulfil all your LEGO Star Wars fantasies. From discovering secret worlds to racing micro-fighters, Castaways sounds like it’s going to be a real blast! Taken from the official website, check out some more features below:

Super Mario 64 Question Mark Block Lego Set

Nintendo announced the upcoming release of their Super Mario 64 themed, question mark block LEGO set. It has features one of Super Mario 64’s first level Bob-omb Battlefield which is without a doubt one of the most nostalgic levels and has been used a lot in Nintendo merchandise and level remakes. This gives fans a chance to head down memory lane, with not just nostalgia for Super Mario 64 but also for Lego, as it’s something that has been passed down generations. It’s been 25 years since the original launch and of Super Mario 64 and this is the perfect way to celebrate.

This lego kit includes Peach’s castle, bob-omb Battlefield, cool, cool mountain and Lethal lava trouble as well as 10 micro figures of memorable characters. I suppose that leaves you wondering what you can do with the little kit, so far Nintendo has said “For interactive play, add a LEGO Mario or LEGO Luigi figure from the 71360/71387 Starter Courses (sold separately) and collect 10 hidden Power Stars to reveal secret reactions and more.”

The LEGO Super Mario range includes Starter Courses, Expansion Sets and Power-Up Packs, allowing builders to expand, rebuild and create unique levels.

The post Nintendo’s big Merch Release – Super Mario 64 Question Mark Block Lego Set  first appeared on Get2Gaming.

Warner Bros have released new photos of Lego Batman the Movie, showing both The Joker and Robin in Lego form. The first trailer to the movie was release three months ago and personally it looks like it is going to be fantastic!

Information has been released about The Jokers character and it will be voiced by Zach Galifianakis. The teeth they have given The Joker look amazing as this is a new feature. An image of The Joker in his LEGO form can be seen below:

Information about Robin’s character was also released as he is going to be voiced by Michael Cera. An image of LEGO Robin can be seen below, notice he is showing of his new shimmering yellow cape.

The LEGO Batman Movie will be available to watch in theatres from February 10 2017, till then we have to patiently wait for Warner Bros to release new and exciting info about the film!

It has been officially announced that it is the fourth biggest Lego video games launch of all time, behind Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Marvel Super Heroes and Lego Batman.
