Star Wars Knights of the old republic 2 or most commonly known as KOTOR 2 is a beloved RPG game released all the way back in 2004 that was recently ported to the Nintendo switch but included in the game is a game-breaking bug that crashes the game after the Basilisk Crash cutscene when landing on  Onderon this currently makes the game unbeatable in any legitimate way, however, Aspyr Studios have suggested that “For now, our suggested workaround is to warp past the point where the game crashes using the cheats menu.”

““To do so, triple-click the left thumbstick, open the cheats menu, select warp, and warp to OND504. Make sure not to head to the merchant quarter, as your game will crash.”

This fix while not perfect does allow for the player to further progress in the game but for those that would rather wait for a more legitimate way to go through the game without the use of the cheat menu then rest assured that Aspyr is aware of the issue and is currently investigating it any updates to the matter will be posted on their socials and support page including when we might see a possible patch to this problem.

The recent tweet made by the company had led many to believe that this was a bug that was affected every KOTOR II player but a representative of the company has assured people that this bug was only affecting a small number of players nevertheless a fix to the problem will be coming in the next patch for the switch version with an estimated date still unknown.

As well as that it’s still unknown when Aspyr studios will be releasing the free DLC to include the missing content that the game was infamous for lacking at its initial release all the way back in 2004, as currently the base game itself is deemed by many to be incomplete in its current state, modders on the PC version were able to release a restored content mod but for switch, we’ll have to wait for the DLC to enjoy it on the system the DLC is slated to release sometime before the end of this year, however.

Aspyr Studios is currently in charge of the KOTOR remake for the PS5 and PC which was announced last year during a PlayStation presentation, the almost two decades old game is not just a simple remaster it’s been claimed that “It’s being rebuilt from the ground up, with modern visuals and technology”

The beloved Star Wars RPG  Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II most commonly known as KOTOR 2 by fans which was originally released back in 2004 which had you create your own Jedi and venture around various areas in the star wars universe  has had a recent release in 2022 on the Nintendo switch, this release was mainly unchanged from the 2004 release and it was recently discovered that due to a game-breaking  bug the game is currently unbeatable according to VGC

One Twitter user that goes by Daniel Moore discovered that the crash occurred after the Basilisk crash cutscene this bug was apparently reported to Aspyr Media who were in charge of porting the beloved star wars game to switch before it became a known issue, Aspyr Media responded by saying that this was a known issue that will be fixed in the next patch but currently there is no ETA on when that patch would actually go live.

KOTOR II which was released all the way back in 2004 saw a port to the Nintendo switch along with the previous entry this continues the trend with various old games being rereleased on the popular Nintendo Switch console and while quite a few have been a rather rough port the unique selling point of being able to take a lot of your old favourite games with you anywhere on the go is too tempting to pass up the game itself back in 2004 while being beloved and seen as a successor to the previous entry is believed to mainly be unfinished however with various bugs and missing content has not been changed that much from being ported over, however, Aspyr Media has promised that a free DLC that is slated to come later this year will restore various missing content from the game that many fans who have played the original game will not have seen. Still, a warning to those that are looking forward to this DLC it’s been confirmed that due to how intricate this DLC will be you will have to create a brand new save in order to enjoy this free DLC.

Aspyr media are also working on creating a complete remake of Knights Of The Old Republic (KOTOR) which was announced back in 2021 during a PlayStation showcase the game is being remade from the ground up and planned to be released on both the PS5 and PC with a release date currently unknown

Happy May 4th Star Wars fans! And with the latest sales on Steam, Epic Games and Origin, Star Wars fans certainly have plenty to celebrate.

Star Wars Galore

Steam have arguably the biggest sale on for Star Wars fans. The PC games store has a number of bundles on offer. The first is the Complete Collection which includes 26 classic Star Wars games – including the fan favourites Knights of the Old Republic and 2005’s Battlefront 2. This bundle is on offer for £56.95 with up to 75% off its products. The second is the Jedi Knight Collection – this collection features five games for £6.81. Another bundle on offer is the X-Wing Series which features the fighter games from the 90s. This is priced at £7.53. In addition, there is the Classic Collection which features the same X-Wing Games alongside other Star Wars games from the 90s, including Star Wars: Rebel Assault 1+2.

The Complete Collection features all the games in the other collections.

For those fans that don’t want to be overloaded with nostalgia, however, fear not. Steam also have an EA Bundle on offer. This triple bundle gives you the Star Wars: Squadrons, Jedi Fallen Order Deluxe Edition and 2017’s Battlefront II. The triple bundle is priced at £26.30.

The triple EA Star Wars Bundle is also available on the Epic Games Store. The bundle is priced there at £26.39. Origin, EA’s Store, offers the same bundle for the same price. However, it also offers a series of Battlefield Expansion Packs and a Season Pass, each for under £5.

Other Consoles

Meanwhile, for those that don’t want the PC versions, Xbox and PlayStation are offering a sale as well. Both Xbox and PlayStation are offering a whole host of Star Wars games for around 75% off each game on average. However, whereas both consoles are offering the EA games at a discount, only Xbox is offering the aforementioned triple bundle. Xbox has it priced at £26.39, the same as Epic and Origin.

New Star Wars Games Coming

Besides the games on sale, Star Wars fans have yet another new game coming there way. Skydance New Media are partnering with Lucasfilm Games to create a new narrative, driven story. The announcement follows a sea of other Star Wars games. The raft of upcoming games includes a remake of Knights of the Old Republic by Aspyr for PlayStation 5 and PC, a Ubisoft open-world Star Wars game, and a Jedi: Fallen Order sequel by EA and Respawn. Respawn are also making their own standalone Star Wars game. And if that wasn’t enough there is also Star Wars Eclipse being developed by Quantic Dream, set during the High Republic. Although, that game isn’t expected for 3-4 years.

With these sales on, the recent, and very successful, release of the Lego Skywalker Saga game, the upcoming Kenobi series and these upcoming games, Star Wars fans certainly have plenty to celebrate.

Good morrow knavlings! Elden Ring and Souls games in general have a wealth of influences about them from mythology to manga, but now seems to be the series’ first crack at a cheeky Star Wars reference.

Not only can you make a Darth Maul build here, but you can also take to the battlefield with a certain set of fist-claws eerily similar to everyone’s favorite Canadian X-Man.

Elden Ring has a variety of spells and classes you can fiddle about with to find what works for you. For the Darth Maul experience, you’ll need to look for the Twinblade and unlock the bloodflame blade ability. Once you have both, all you’ll have to do from there is put the lime in the coconut and drink em both up. Then boom, you have an in-universe lightsaber! Thanks to Professional Redditteer u/Night_Parad0x for being the first or among the first to post the results.

So I found out that using the Twinblade + Bloodflame Blade basically makes you into Darth Maul. from Eldenring

Style or Substance? The weapon-spell combination seems an effective one, mainly for DPS combat builds.It takes a lot of your stamina while active, but dishes out a lot of damage, so specializing in this early-game would basically make you a glass canon. So honestly?  A little bit of both. Plus the character creator gives you plenty of options to lean hard into the roleplaying as a true sith lord. Speaking of Sith, you can find out how to get early-game lighting powers right here!

Okay Joseph Stalling, how do I get it? First you have a gander round the middle of Agheel Lake, right by the Dragon-Burnt Ruins… Still not as cool-sounding as Avatar’s “DRAGON BONE CATACOMBS” but I’ll take it. Get to the building without an entry point, yoink yourself over the wall with your trusty steed and ey-presto, the twinblades should be chilling in a basement chest. There’s also an optional dragon boss in that area, but you’re a strapping lad with some pep in your step, I’m sure you’ll manage!

For Fighting Flame Wars: You can get the Bloodflame Blade spell by killing a Teardrop Scarab in Liurnia of the Lakes, which you can fast-travel to once you find it! There are a couple scarabs out there, so if you end up vibe-checking the wrong one, just channel your inner Wild Hunt and you’ll have the skill in no time.

More Star Wars news for all you force-wielding fanatics out there! In anticipation for the hotly anticipated arena shooter Star Wars: Hunters, the developers have announced two new characters and two new maps. Let’s check them out, shall we?

Firstly though, it’s important to remind those who aren’t as familiar with the upcoming game what they could be getting into. The 4v4 arena battler will be hitting our iOS, Android and Switch screens as a free-to-play title, and looks to allow synchronous cross-play between platforms. This is how the official website describes the latest Star Wars adventure:

“Join the greatest Hunters from across the Star Wars™ galaxy on the planet of Vespaara where high-stakes competitions are awaiting them in The Arena. Engage in thrilling third person combat to dominate grand battlefields set in a range of adventurous maps that evoke iconic Star Wars worlds. Mix and match teams, use skill, tactics and customize your Hunters to find a winning strategy and reap the spoils of victory in the all-new free-to-play game”.

Obviously, every Star Wars fan cannot wait to get there hands on this one! With a mixture of iconic locations across the galaxy, we’ve kept you waiting long enough to see what new ones have been announced, so let’s delve right into it then!

New Characters And Map Heats Up Star Wars Hunters Hype

After showcasing the game play trailer a few months back, it’s safe to say we’ve all been desperately waiting for another update! Thankfully, we’ve finally got something which tickles our fancy!

Let’s have a look at the new Hunters first then. The first new character is called Skora, a Rodian cartel doctor whose kit allows her to heal allies and deal damage to her foes. Sounds pretty good, right? We’re sure she’s going to come in particularly handy when you’ve got some rookies in your ranks.

The other new Hunter is quirky-looking Mon Calamari named Sprocket, a tech genius commanding an arsenal of droids with both offensive and defensive capabilities. Both the new characters are supports, with the game’s simplified class system split between damage dealers, supports, and tanks.

The new maps being added to Star Wars: Hunters include Dusty Ridge, and a new Escort map called The Great Hunt. In this map, players will be tasked with escorting a massive harpoon through the Tatooine desert.

Not only this, but it looks like we’ll be getting a new game mode too! Well sort of. Huttball will be making a return after appearing in Star Wars:The Old Republic. However, developer Jeff Hickman has said that the Hunter’s version will be unique, so we’ll just have to wait and see how that pans out.

The Force isn’t as strong with Star Wars fans as they would’ve hoped this week. The announcement of a returning Star Wars classic has come with some slightly disappointing news.

Previously, it was revealed that the 2008 release of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed would be getting a new re-release on Nintendo Switch later this spring. Obviously, fans of the franchise burst out with excitement when they heard the news. Who couldn’t wait for the chance to get back into StarKillers story? Some of us are still upset the game is no longer canon, truth be told.

However, this news does come with a bit of a lacklustre spin. Before we go into exactly why that’s the case, let’s remind ourselves of the fan-favourite Star Wars and check out the announcement trailer down below:

Star Wars Force Unleashed Using Wii Port For Switch

What a coincidence the almighty algorithm gives me this Dying Light 2 tidbit when I was listening back to old Jeremy Jahns Star Wars reviews earlier today!

Not only is this Techland easter egg an easter egg, but it’s an easter egg INSIDE of another easter egg! A Russian Nesting Doll of easter egg-ception! There’s a secret Doom level in Dying Light 2 and players can receive a special new skill by completing it, which ties into the main subject of today’s blog.

But, Stefan, how do I get it? Well, if you can’t find a copy at a local store, you can- No, how do I find the Doom level? I wanna rip n’ tear! Aaah, well sit on my knee and I’ll spill you some tea.

First off, you gotta find 5 black rubber duckies scattered throughout the map. What is the function of them? Sources remain divided. You then have to complete the quest ‘Broadcast’, then you’ll be able to enter a previously locked room once you have the ducks and BOOM, now you get to enter The Fun Zone!

A few moments later, you offer up your dark ducky offerings to a nearby pedestal, complete a challenge that sees you try to get 5 objects within a time limit while fighting zomboners with the Ka Doom Shotgun and there ya go! A shiny new blueprint that gives players the ability to go full Darth Vader on a fool and choke them like a leather-daddy on prom night.

It won’t do a huge amount of damage on it’s own, but works well for stunning enemies and even being more susceptible to damage with follow-up attacks.

Other unlockable easter egg weapons for Dying Light 2 include:

The Left Finger of GloVa: Fingerbang your enemies, shoot your shot. Inside, if possible.

Cyberhands 2177: Mantis blades belonging to a certain ‘punk’, though I could’ve sworn the date was off by… Maybe a century.

“It’s me… Marian” sneakers: Triple jump your way across the land with hardcore parkour skills strong enough to make a certain moustachio’d Nintendo mascot blush!

Star Wars 1313 is now a mostly forgotten project that was announced by Lucasarts back in 2012. The project was shelved indefinitely (read, Canceled) back in 2013 when disney acquired Lucasfilm and all other subsidiary studios.

The game was supposed to open with the player controlling an all new bounty hunter character… before they where murdered by Boba Fett in the first level, with the game then progressing with the players playing as the infamous bounty hunter. The game would mostly be set in level 1313 of the city world Coriscant.

Recently, some footage of gameplay from starwars 1313 surfaced online, showing someone playing as Boba Fett, and giving us a glimpse at what could have been.

Earlier this week EA confirmed that Titanfall 2 Developer Respawn where working on 3 new starwars games. These are a sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order, a star wars FPS game helmed by Medal of Honor co-creator Peter Hirschmann, and a Strategy game developed in collaboration with Bit Reactor, a studio formed from former XCOM and Civilization devs.

EA no-longer has the exclusivity rights to the starwars IP, as last January Lucasfilm confirmed it was partnering with Ubisoft for a new open world game. Furthermore, Detroit: become Human dev Quantic Dream have recently announced Star-Wars eclipse.

The Force is strong with us all once more, as a new game play overview trailer for the hotly anticipated LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has arrived! The trailer treated us with a variety of new additions by showing off planets, characters and many more game play features which we cannot wait to get our hands on!

Not only this, but we’ve finally received a concrete release date after what has been years of delays. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is set to arrive on April 5th 2022, just over two months away. Those endless hours waiting for the game are looking like they’re finally going to be paid off, especially if this trailer is anything to go by.

Before we delve right into everything the new overview has to offer, why not check it out for yourself down below:

What’d we all think of that then Star Wars fans? It looks pretty amazing doesn’t it? I’ve certainly been waiting long enough for this one, as have many of you out there I’m sure.

Whilst we will have a look at all the new features in great detail, can we firstly just take a moment to appreciate the Holoprojector system. It looks like this’ll be how we’re able to travel to other planets, unlock and select characters, view missions as well as everything else. Whilst it doesn’t quite have the same energy as Dexters or The Cantina, it really does show off how vast this world is going to be!

It should be noted that the game will also allow you to experience the trilogy in whatever order you see fit. Are you a purist who wants to play the episodes as they were initially released? Or would you prefer to experience the Saga in a more chronological order? The choice is completely yours!

Anyway, enough about that. It’s time to take a deeper look at everything the latest trailer went through to get us even more hyped. Here we go!

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga- New Characters

Boasting over 300 playable characters, this is obviously going to be the biggest character roster in a LEGO Star Wars game to date! Whilst many of them have been confirmed previously, we’ve managed to get a look at some of the different play-styles they’ll use.

The likes of Jabba The Hutt, Mace Windu and Boba Fett are all shown to be in action (with Jabba moving much faster than we expected we must say). Whilst not every character is shown in the game play, we can have a quick glimpse of them in the menu. This includes sequel characters such as Carib Diss, which will be a cool new addition to say the least. Previously ignored prequel characters such as Bail Organa and Captain Antilles are even showed off here!

It certainly looks like they wont be messing about this time. Players will struggle to find any character in the films not present in the game, which we cannot wait for.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga- New Combat

Fans of the original set of games will have immediately noticed the different combat and health systems in the new trailer. Instead of the Hearts system, it seems now we will have health bars, as will our foes. As a result, it looks like we will finally be able to know now when our enemy is close to defeat now.

Additionally, the weapon variety on display is much more expansive than previous editions. Whilst before we were limited to essentially just a lightsaber or blaster, there now seems to be so much more to offer! The over-the-shoulder shooting mechanics which we saw in LEGO Force Awakens reappear, but it’s the lightsaber combat that really catches our eyes here.

The Star Wars franchise is famously known for exciting duels throughout the series, so being able to incorporate this properly into the LEGO game is an absolute necessity. The battle between Jedi and Sith looks unbelievably entertaining and alongside the infamous Star Wars scores are sure to provide hours of excitement!

More Planets And Vehicles Than Ever Before

Obviously, no Star Wars game is complete without its vehicles, specifically fighter ships! It’s called Star Wars after all ain’t it, so get ready for some great re-imagining of classic space battles. In the trailer we see both Luke Skywalkers X-Wing as well as Poe Damerons. Moreover, no Star wars trailer is complete without the iconic Millennium Falcon and it was great to see it engage with a Star Destroyer!

Similarly, we cannot wait to explore the various planets the game has to offer. Returning to the likes of Hoth, Geonosis, Endor and Naboo is going to be undeniably fantastic, but the sequel planets appearances are going to be just as cool we reckon. The latest reveal shows off the Sith planet Exegol from Episode 9, which looks to have created an awry environment which will definitely be interesting to uncover.

This really does look like it intends to be the definitive LEGO Star Wars experience. Whilst we can’t go through all the new features here (you’d be reading for ages), believe us when we see they’re endless. And why shouldn’t it be? We’ve waited long enough for it, we deserve every ounce of Star Wars content we can get.
