RockStar Scrapping Remasters For both Red Dead Redemption as well as GTA 4

A Insider at Rockstar games known as tez2 has claimed that the RockStar have supposedly scrapped both projects. He found claimed on Twitter That both games will not be coming to fruition. He leaked this information accurately due to the company past with GTA online content within the source code.

According to a Reliable source Rockstar was clear on there motives with the two titles. Both a Remaster of both GTA 4 and Red Dead Redemption were coming to next generation consoles. This was on the table for the company , but they instead decided to not go ahead with the projects as they believed the remakes would not be well perceived. saying that ”The poor reception of the trilogy DE might be a reason behind that decision.”

Rockstar Released the brand new Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive edition in early November 2021. Rockstar promised a modern Remaster of All the GTA titles From Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

With Any new release there will be expected hiccups naturally. The game was release with a high number of technical issues as well as game files and documents which wasn’t meant to stay in the games files. Files such as Unlicensed music and developer notes , which could show data miners the plans for the games future hidden within the game itself. This would be good information for Data miners to find and leak to the gaming community which would build hype of said plans coming to the game. On the other hand Rockstar like to keep what they are planning and working on a secret so they would have removed these documents as to not spoil their potential plans.

Rockstar apologized for the state of the game to the fans and they had promised the community they would update the game to fix the current state of the game. They mentioned updating regularly to for fill this promise to the community.

Even with the many issues with the launch of the title Take-Two Interaction (Rockstar parent company).

CEO Strauss Zelnick claimed in January that the games launch of the GTA trilogy had performed ”great” since its release January. The sales figures for the game in February had sold 10 million copies since its release in November.

Original Vs Remaster

From the images above you can see on the Left is the first release of the game back in 2008 and the right in 2022. You can see the graphical different between the two images , the 2022 remaster does a perfect job of bringing us the same game and feel but making it look beautiful.

The main difference between these new titles are as follows: graphics modes, improved texture qualities, HDR options and ray tracing, faster loading, GTA Online Profile migration. However The visuals were shortly look past by the the many bugs presented in the game on launch but Rockstar have promised to fix them with regular updates.

However Modders have taken things into there own hands by trying to improve the games performance to help save the title from failing. Modders say they want Rockstar to make big changes to help the titles major flaws. These flaws have put some Gamers off GTA due to how negligent Rockstar can be towards certain titles or bugs etc.

Step right up folks, it looks like another gaming company is getting in the festive spirit! After Epic Games and Ubisoft have given away games for free this December, it looks like Rockstar are now getting in on the act too. However, it may not be for the same goodwill which the other studios are feeling right now.

Unfortunately, most gamers know by now how the remastered Grand Theft Auto Trilogy failed miserably upon release. What should’ve been a seamless transition of three classic PS2 era games turned into a monumental flop in the eyes of both fans and critics alike. Its disappointing graphical update, musical omissions and buggy game play left a sour taste in many peoples mouths. Did Rockstar really not care about three of their most beloved games in the franchise?

Well, it now looks like they’re trying to make amends with their latest announcement. It appears that if you purchase the Definitive Edition on PC, Rockstar will grant you a free holiday giveaway game alongside it. Pretty amazing, right?

Rockstar Games Deal Not Available For Consoles

What exactly does the offer give to us, I hear you ask? Well, according to an article on the official Rockstar website, those who purchase the remaster on PC between now and January 6 will receive a free game, or in-game money add-on, from the company’s store. Does that seem a bit harsh on the people who’ve bought the game beforehand? We’re not too sure about that yet.

Additionally, the purchase will also grant you $10 off another product that’s priced $15 or more, just as a little sweetener. Importantly, this offer is only available when you purchase the game on PC and if you buy it from the official Rockstar website. This means that any purchase through third-party stores will not be valid.

This will certainly come as a disappointment for many console gamers out there. Why are they being treated any differently to the PC bunch? In all fairness, they shouldn’t complain too much, as Rockstar has infamously shunned PC gamers in the past with delayed releases for their titles. Perhaps this is their way of saying sorry and getting them back on side. Who knows?

What Free Games Are Available To Us?

Here’s the tricky part I suppose. What exactly are you going to choose as your free game? It’s a tough choice, that’s for sure. Rockstar have have their hand in some of the best games of the last two decades, so you may get a headache when trying to make your decision.

According to the article, GTA 5: Premium Edition and GTA 4: Complete Edition will both be available for purchase, as well as Max Payne 3, LA Noire or Bully: Scholarship Edition. Adversely, if you don’t quite fancy taking a free game, you can choose to have Shark Cash Card for GTA Online or even 55 gold bars for Red Dead Online. Unfortunately, the two Red Dead titles aren’t available on the list, but the options which are should be more than enough reason to pick up the trilogy.

Despite Rockstar already having made many changes to the game, they’ll hope this’ll increase peoples interest even more. They’ll certainly be hoping to head up the charts that’s for sure. The new 1.03 update will target some of the issues that have been blasted in memes on Twitter.

Rockstar’s recent release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has been blasted on the internet for being rife with bugs. Fans of GTA have expressed a mixture of disappointment and amusement at the often hilarious bugs plaguing the remasters.

Some bugs, however, were less amusing and more irritating. While rain and weather changes can add great atmosphere to any video game, they may have gone a little too far in the remasters.

As you can see (or rather, can’t see), the rain is so heavy and overwhelming that the player can barely work out where they’re going. It renders the game near unplayable. The 1.03 patch is going to address this first and foremost, along with other bugs and glitches.

However, the bug where CJ’s face covers the entire screen when activating first person on a quadbike will be missed for its hilarity.

The new patch also brings ‘stability improvements,’ will fix some texture issues, and add a cinematic camera mode.

The Trilogy is currently available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC – and is apparently coming to the Nintendo Switch soon.

Let’s hope they get these crucial fixes done before implementing anything new, such as VR.

One fan finds a debug command that enables you to play Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in first person

Recently, a player had discovered a debug command for GTA VR whilst playing on the newly released, Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy – The Definitive Edition which was released November 11^th.

With video proof circulating around the internet, courtesy of @videotech_ via Twitter. The video shows the player running around in first person view on the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas remaster on the Trilogy. In the video also, the debug menu is used which then first person is activated.

In the video, you can see that it is a very bugged and rough setting with the VR not being performed accurately. The player enters a vehicle, and it changes back to the default third person view with the game looking very glitchy. It was particularly bugging when in first person view, the player tried looking down with the view seeing through the characters’ body.

There is a debug Unreal command for GTA VR but it looks a little bit unfinished. Maybe it would be cool if they implemented this as a first-person option? It plays pretty well. Gunfights and punching will need tweaking, would be super cool for screenshots! pic.twitter.com/pxq5ivwGOA

Fans seem to believe that by connecting dots that this has to do with the upcoming Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas VR title from developer Video Games Deluxe. With others thinking it is a test run for another Rockstar Games Game.

VR on Grand Theft Auto would probably be a good idea. With how GTA is often compared to real life it would bring an interesting experience to the VR realm. If these rumours are true, with the bad reception that Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has received; this could brighten up the game and make into something big. Rockstar Games look to make improvements on the GTA Trilogy, having already apologised to the players for how the game released. The burger doesn’t spin. THE BURGER DOESN’T SPIN. I’ll say it one more time. The burger. Does not. SPIN. What burger? The burger in the Burgershot restaurant logo from GTA: San Andreas – Definitive Edition of course.

Why is that important, you may ask? Well, it is a testament to the lack of effort paid to developing the remastered GTA Trilogy. Small details like this, coupled with the various other bugs and glitches in the game all go to show that the game seems a bit slap-dash. It’s disappointing to see how dodgy the release of the GTA remasters has been, as it has been highly anticipated by fans for a long-time following rumour of its existence.

GTA: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition’s Dodgy Release

Since the release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition, many have compared its best and worst aspects to the original versions of the games. Others have questioned the remasters’ poor design choices, while some people have shown appreciation for some of the gameplay modifications and are just happy to bask in nostalgia.

The burger on the Burgershot emblem rotates in the crosshairs in the original Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, according to Reddit user u/Eddielowfifthslayer. The burger doesn’t spin in the remastered version. This decision is particularly mind-boggling because making a burger rotate is an incredibly easy process.

You’d think if the PS2 can do it, then so could the current generation of gaming consoles. Apparently, burger spinning is just too much. In the comments, fans are bemoaning the decision, calling it proof that Rockstar Games did not put enough effort into the remasters.

Do you know what else is terrible? The nutt looks like a WASHER. How DARE they. A photo of the Tuff Nutt Donut Shop in the original and the remaster has been spreading on social media. The pixels on the doughnut have been smoothed out in the remastered version, which is great, but the nut has been smoothed out as well, making it appear more like a washer.

The shop loses some of its design charms because of the alteration since the pixel limitations turned out to be an asset to the design. Some others have also discovered typos in the restaurant names in GTA 3, adding to the proof that the game’s background surroundings were not given enough attention prior to release.

This is only a small chapter in this tragedy that has been the post-release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition. The lack of availability on PC on launch weekend far outweighs some negative responses to  detailed texture “improvements” to the game environment. Modders even went to the extent of adding the games original sounds back in. You know it’s bad when the community has to fix the game for you. When you add in all of the other troubles the game has had in its first week, it’s obvious to see fans aren’t thrilled with what Rockstar has done to these titles.

More bad news for Rockstar. They have had a complete collapse on PC systems, with the authentication system going into disarray. With no ability to confirm ownership on the PC, players are unable to play the game properly and thus Rockstar has been forced to pull the PC version from sale on the company’s website.

Once again, how have Rockstar managed to mess this up? After all the bad reviews so far, the very least they could do is make the game work. GTA 3, San Andreas and Vice City. Three of the most beloved games of the last twenty years and their legacy is starting to get ruined. Pre-dating the always-online approach developers take today, for some reason they added the online Rockstar Games Launcher into the release. As a result, when you first launch the game they have to authenticate.

According to Rockstar’s tweets, they suffered an outage of the servers that manage the launcher. Not good stuff. This means that the any game which needs the system will not work correctly, including the new GTA Trilogy. What is strange is that it was such an unnecessary move, as the games from the 2000’s don’t require any online features.

The problems first starting occurring on Thursday November 11th, and has continued on since then. Currently, the game is still unavailable to buy on the PC. If you try to purchase it, you will be taken to a page which says its temporarily unavailable. This is extremely frustrating for fans of the series, especially considering you can’t even purchase the original games anymore.

Even if you owned them anyway, they require the Rockstar Games Launcher too. It really is a tough time for GTA fans.They haven’t revealed as of yet when things will be back online. Let’s just hope the series is able to pick itself back up again. However if your looking to pre-order a copy yourself, do so right here! Hopefully but the time the physical copy is out, Rockstar will have sorted themselves out. Let’s hope.

The post Another Disaster As GTA Trilogy Pulled From PC first appeared on Get2Gaming.

Where did it go so wrong? GTA: Trilogy was one of the most hyped up games of 2021. Remastering three classic games from the franchise should’ve been the easiest thing Rockstar has ever done. Upon release, however, we’ve seen they’ve somehow managed to ruin it. Unfortunately, this is now being shown in the meta critic scores.

Where exactly do we start? The first of these problems is quite clearly the many bugs and glitches that players are experiencing with Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy. From minor mistakes to major car crash glitches, it has its fair share of technical issues. Additionally, the poorly remastered character models are, in some instances, worst than the original games. The main protagonists look great, but the less said about some side characters the better.

There’s obviously a lot fans have been frustrated with regarding the release of the game. As a result, people have every right to slate it. Let’s have a quick look at the trailer to remind ourselves of the hype we had before the game was actually released.

GTA Trilogy Doesn’t Receive Reception It Had Hoped For

Currently,  the PC release of the GTA Trilogy is scoring at a 0.6 on the site, while the PS5 version is peaking at a 0.9 score. Similarly, other consoles also have low scores, the lowest being 0.5 on the Xbox One and Series X.

We must remember that there have been no official critic reviews yet. These low scores have been posted by over 2000 players who have put forth their views of the game.  In terms of user scores, it is recorded as one of the worst scored open-world games on Metacritic.

Despite this, we can’t be truly persuaded by some disgruntled fans who had a negative experience. However, the signs aren’t looking too good. Due to this negative reception, some gamers are comparing the release of this GTA game to that of Cyberpunk 2077. The release for that highly anticipated game also suffered a rough start to its lifespan. Luckily, it managed to sort itself out in the end, which we hope Rockstar will be able to do for their game. Especially considering the fact the trilogy consists of some of the most beloved titles in gaming history and is being sold at such a high price.

Don’t let this stop you from picking up the game and finding out for yourself though. We can assure you that whilst there have been certain issues, you cannot change the core of the games which are magnificent. Pick up a copy here and for a very reasonable price too!

Dust down your bowling shoes and get ready to relive the American Dream as reports suggest Grand Theft Auto IV could be the next GTA Title to receive a remastered treatment.

With only a few days to go until Rockstar release Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy Definitive Edition, it seems that fans of the franchise have been spoilt with even more great news. Despite Rockstar not usually doing remasters, it’s clear that we won’t be getting GTA 6 for a while. Therefore, it looks like they intend to keep us busy with these new releases instead.

Leak Reveals Grand Theft Auto IV Details

The first big question right now is obviously- where did these rumours come from? Secondly, just how reliable are they?

It appears the rumours of a GTA IV remaster originated on 4chan a couple days back. These were joined with speculation of a Red Dead Redemption remaster also, but both worth dismissed as they lacked any credible evidence to back up the claims.

However, further information has hinted that the GTA IV rumour could in fact be true. This comes from RalphsValve, a twitter user who has previously collaborated with trusted source Tom Henderson on the upcoming Modern Warfare 2. This is where things get interesting. On November 9th, Ralph tweeted a picture of the GTA IV logo with ‘2023’ attached. This was then joined with details of the potential remaster, quoting that it will be for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. Not only this, but he believes that the game will also feature ‘Episodes From Liberty City’, the successful expansion package which introduced us to a variety of new GTA characters. If true, players will undeniably be hyped to not just see the return of Niko Bellic, but also that of fan-favourites Luis Lopez and Johnny Klebitz. We cannot wait.

Disappointingly, Ralph does go on to say that the GTA IV wont feature any Multiplayer. I suppose after eight years of GTA V multiplayer that does make sense. Nevertheless, the mode was extremely popular upon the games initial release so will be a bit of a loss here.

It should go without saying you must take this information with a pinch of salt. No official news has been confirmed by Rockstar thus far. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t get a little excited anyway. In the meantime though, get yourself hyped and ready for the other GTA remaster on its way. The remastered version of the Grand Theft Auto classics comes out in a week with the required file size information now being revealed.

Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy – The Definitive Edition being a combination of Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto Vice City and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas all in one game, has been the topic of discussion in the gaming community for the last few months. With various leaks and rumours coming out and leading up to the official reveal.

With the GTA community anticipating news on GTA outside GTA V, the news on the trilogy gave fans something to be excited about, even if it is not on GTA 6.

With the game being a week from release, the file size has been revealed with the download size being just under 23 GB.

This size doesn’t come at much of a surprise as the game is a remaster from the PlayStation 2 sensations. Remasters tend to come at a lot less file size compared to other actual newer gen games. With the changes of the games not being much more significant even though it is a Rockstar game, the file size sounds accurate.

The file size stands at around 23 GB without a day one patch. The size will inevitably increase as increased graphics, late additions and many more patches will come into place later down the line after release.

It has been shared that the file size on Nintendo Switch stands at a higher 25.4 GB. With, the console versions are said to become the bigger sized file which updates to come. Concerning PlayStation, the PS4 and PS5 versions of the Trilogy will come to around 38GB, assuming there are now day 1 patches, as revealed by PlayStation Game Size on Twitter.

Finally, the sizes of the 3 games, broken down. Grand Theft Auto III starts at 5.29GB with Grand Theft Auto Vice City coming at 10.76GB. With lastly Grand Theft Auto San Andreas coming at the highest with 22.67GB.

Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is set for release digitally on November 11^th on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. With physical copies releasing on December 7^th.

There is an abundance of remasters in the works at the moment, with refreshed versions of classic games being thrown at us left right and centre. The GTA Trilogy is on its way, and a whole bunch of other titles such as Alan Wake have recently been remastered and Crysis has been given a refresh too. There also rumours of a Red Dead Redemption remaster in the works too.

With the release of the  GTA  Trilogy remasters coming up, people are probably wondering what else Rockstar Games are up to, more specifically what is happening with GTA 6. Fans may be wondering where information relating to the next iteration of the open world series is, as well as whether any further remasters are on the road. With Rockstar keeping tight-lipped about any information, particularly about GTA 6, fans are left guessing.

A recent report said that the circumstances of Grand Theft Auto 6 are not only unknown, but the game looks to be having major development issues.  Components of the project are constantly changing every time. This rumour comes from French YouTuber Rockstar Mag, a reliable leaker on all things GTA, who claims that production on the sixth chapter of the franchise was restarted when Dan Houser departed the business last year. He made these claims in a YouTube video, which is obviously in French, but you can use YouTube’s Closed Caption feature to get a rough translation to English:

Red Dead Redemption Remaster

On the other hand, it’s conceivable that the studio is now working on a remaster of the first Red Dead Redemption, something fans have certainly been considering since the GTA remaster was revealed. Rockstar Mag’s Chris speculates that this will be a remaster with fresh graphics elements, rather than just a resolution bump. Chris also states that if an RDR remaster is in the works, it will most likely not be released anytime soon. It would also explain why the developer has yet to release any information on Grand Theft Auto 6.

Its important to keep in mind these are just rumours though, and to take this information with a pinch of salt. Information on the sequel to Grand Theft Auto 5 is long overdue, with the game having been released 10 years ago. It would be a massive shame if the game is having development problems right now, considering how long people have been waiting for the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 now.

With GTA Online and Grand Theft Auto 5 still being such good cash cows at the moment though, it only makes sense for Rockstar Games to keep milking them. This will obviously lead to delays with the release of development on GTA 6 and means we are unlikely to hear any official news any time soon. But hey, if there is any truth to these rumours, we at least know Grand Theft Auto 6 is being made, despite having problems. Keep an eye out for more information here as and when it comes!
